Alright, so i was messing around with my sound card trying to get the line-in to work right, so i took it out and put it back in thinking it might try to reinstall stuff... that didnt work really and then for some odd reason my monitor got stuck in 800X600.

right now if i go and click display properties it says default monitor on __________. ive reinstalled the drivers like 10X over trying to get it to work but all to no avail. any suggestions?

Load the standard PCI video driver, reboot, then load the correct one.

............wow thats wierd. Ummmm.........id goto device manager right click on your video card and click delete or uninstall then reboot and it will detect it. Also see if you nudged the video card out of place a tad when putting your sound card in and out.

Looks like you have an IRQ conflict. See which one the RAID controller wants and see if you can assign it a different one.

If you're not using your RAID, then just disable it in the BIOS.

Check your motherboards manual, it should tell you if there's a jumper if its not in the bios.

Choose "reset configuration data" to yes in the BIOS, and that may help.

That is weird you video card adapter doesn't show up, even though Windows XP is suppose to eliminate IRQ conflicts. i've heard of video cards still wanting a certain IRQ number or they get flakey.
