Default X1600pro

Hello,

I have a Radeon X1600Pro 512 MB video card and have recently come into possession of a zalman vf700 copper cooling fan.

I cant seem to get it to fit, yet the x1600 series is listen in compatibility on the zalman site.

Has anyone else had problems of this sort ever?

Otherwise, does anyone have any suggestions of a good VGA cooling unit that is cheap and works well?

i unfortunately dont, but if you look here
Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

look at the image of the underside of the card...say i attach the zalman bracing into one of the holes, then the respective hole on the opposite side doesnt match up with the hole on the board. it is beyond the hold on the board.

that is the best explanation that i can give, if it is not good enough, i can get a picture tommorrow.

Hehe, thats my Vf700cu you got. Do you want me to bring a camera over tomorrow?

Is that metal Bar blocking some holes closer to the GPU? Here is the Zalman pic of where they should be.

And here is the picture of your card:

You do know that the screws have different holes that they can go in right? Like on the metal bracket thingy?

yes, of course i saw that, but the two respective holes that are closest together (inside set) are still too far apart to be able to work with the card.
