| Apex Tech God | i dont reall follow you but if you qant something that is pci that will match the performance of a ti4200 the closest thing is a radeon 9200. Now if you only wanna go with Nvidia then its either the fx 5200 or mx 440se.

![]() ![]() | Frekk, you would be better off if you admitted you were wrong. How the hell does "The world revolves around money... without it we would get nowhere" exonerate you from the stupid post you made, and how does it help solve the problem Yaik is having? Oh yeah, wanna cough drop?

| Apex Techie Wannabe | First of all, you guys dont understand how cheap a board with an agp slot is Agp is ten times faster than any given pci card, Your computer doesnt give a pci video card the time of day, it keeps that for sound cards and such And DO NOT BUY AN FX5200!!! I REPEAT A MILLION TIMES, THEY SUCK ESPECIALLY PNY So if you want a comparative to a Ti4200 then you might just buy a 4200 they are cheap, and a radeon is cheap too, but it is less hassle and money in the long run So just go agp whatever you do

| Apex Tech God | The point of the thread is the scenario where there is no agp slot so whats the best card, so we cant recommend agp. In the gaming forum of pimprig there is a thread on the best pci card for gaming and it is stated that a radeon 9100 128mg is the best followed close by a fx5600.

| Mastah Overclocker | The best performing PCI card (on benchmarks)is the newly released Nvidia FX5600, but its 150$ In a thread I started, I found a review of the major players still available for PCI. It says that the 5200 128MB (about 100$) does almost as well as the 5600, so don't bother with a 5600 Unless you have money to burn. But the overall winner was the VisiontekÂ’s ATI based 9100 (under 100$) I wonder if it would play DX9 games like Doom3 as well as the 5200 or 5600 when it finally comes out. I doubt any of them will >Here< is the thread Note: Ati seems to do better with Half-Life 2 Nvidia seems to do better on Doom 3 This is for top of the line cards available today (5900 Vs 9800) with current drivers, and available current test data. I think the same trend carries on to the slower cards, so if you plan on a particular new game, keep this in mind
