Default Crossfire on nvidia boards

Ive been researching this Heavily as Ill be sending my cfx3200 board back to newegg again because its broken.... again. I have hard modded my Ultra-d to use SLI.
From what Ive been reading its a walk in the park, but nobody has information on HOW to do this.
Could it be as simple as just plugging the cards in, linking them up and loading the drivers? Or is there more to it. Ill still be researching, but lets see if anyone else can come up with some information.
Solid heres a challenge for ya lol.

Modding the Ultra-D to support SLI is very, easy. I did it in Jan to my buddies. HERE is a simple pictorial on what it looks like. the SLI jumpers all need to be shifted over one set of pins too.

As far as running ATI Crossfire on a Nvidia SLI chipset...i dont know. But i would guess it woul be like Running an AMD cpu on an Intel chipset...

But i could be wrong..LINKY

-EDIT-
I also read a lil while ago that Nvidia has started putting some sort of epoxy over the transistors on the chipset to avoid people doing this mod. I have also read with a Little patience, bright light and magnifiying glass this epoxy can be removed from the area you need to work in.

I found this newer guide to converting the ultra d to and sli d
in this one, the pads on the ultra d are covered, but, they scrape it off, and turn it into an sli d

Hmmm..somehow I missed this thread, but it is a bit old.

I think they guys thought you wanted to know how to mod your board to run SLI, but you allready have done that...I think your wording confused them a bit.

To answer your question anyways...No, as far as I know (I even tried doing this a while back) there is just no way to run Cross-Fire on a SLI board...however, there are "Hacked" drivers that allow you to run SLI on a 975x based Cross-Fire motherboard! (Wich does you absolutely no good, however...lol)

sorry, it did confuse me, a bit
well, Im not sure what happened in my head

I read something about oem drivers, or, if not oem, "slightly different" drivers, that let you do this
Tree420 has been hoping to get SLI on his d975xbx2
but the drivers all look old
I haven't read of any newer than the eightie five xx
