Tell me when the 8600GS comes out.

Although the Geforce FX did suck in its time, one smart thing was that they did provide a top-to-bottom DirectX 9-compatible range from day 1. I have no interest in a fan-cooled video card, period. It's just another fan to whine, another part to fail. So only a low-end or mid-range part will appeal to me.

i want one i want one i want one

But I'll probably get an 8800GT/GS/GTS or whatever the lower part is, won't be able to afford a GTX.

Did you guys hear tha there's a big danger of an SLi 8800GTX system tripping the power in UK houses more than 20 years old? Apparently a lot of electric systems just can't handle the 1kw+ that'll be needed if you've got SLi 8800s, massively oc'd CPU etc.

Things are getting silly.

I'll probably be able to once I remove the hard drive cage. Regardless I'm still getting one so I can play UT2K7 like this.

Looks like one nVidia's contractors messed up on the cards, and they are now recalling some of the G80 GTX's before it's even been officially launched.
