| Apex Elite Expert Tech | I don't know if this will help your quest for speed any but I'll throw my 2cents on the table for a minute. I picked up one of the 7950gt cards the other week. Basicaly it's the 7900gt but factory oc'd and with the 512mb mem. I went and did the bios volt mod on mine tonight and so far things are looking real good. Factory gpu voltage on mine was 1.25v so I increased it to the next available choice of 1.35v. From what I have read you can unlock 1.45v also but I'm not gonna take any huge steps right from the start. As for the cards performance. Best pre mod was 571/764. Not so far off from the stock 560/725. After the volt increase I am running stable at 610/792 with room to play yet. I'm shure with how well yours is already over stock you can probably get some very impressive speeds from it. I ran NiNiTor ver3.0a to download and save the factory bios. You can then edit your settings with the same program. Then ran NvFlash ver5.38 to flash the bios back to the card. Hopefully some of that helps. VF1000ride

| Apex Elite Expert Tech | Sorry bout that. I should have asked if it is a newer card or one of the older ones. I guess the older ones need to be hard modded by pencil or resistors. Only the newest ones in the 7900 series will volt mod in the bios. My 7950 is suppost to be the exact same G71 gpu chip as the 7900 series. I wasn't thinking that they would run such different voltage regulator designs between the two cards. You can always give it a try though. You never know if you may be a lucky one and it might make a change on the card.

It wont. I have used NiBitOr to mod bioses for quit some time now. Only cards that I know of doing it are 6800GT, 7800GT, 7950GT anda few others. The 7900GTs run at 1.35 volts default. Itsl imited by the voltage controller on the card. The only way is hard mod it with solder and a resistor.
