Default 7600 GS help

Ok guys as you know I ditched the 7300 in favor of the 7600, I also popped it all into a new case with more fans (and the zalman.) I'm starting to wonder if maybe my wimpy 400 watt PSU isn't up to the task of ocing this card. I've got it stable at 463mhz (both core and mem) this is only a jump of 63 mhz, but it dies at 473mhz, 3dmark03 freezes everytime. Have i just hit the ceiling with this card or is my PSU not enough? any advice? (amazingly just that little bump up brought me up about 900 marks)

Oh yeah my temps are NOT the issue, at load I am only hitting about 39 C (compared to my 54 C idle with the oced 7300)

Check out what "Juice" has to say...

http://forums.pcapex.com/project_wor...x_edition.html

I have found most "Generic" or low end power supplies are over rated, you have too look at the "Amp" load on the 12v rail to get a true picture..the higher the better.

They often will have high amp rated 3.3 and 5v rails wich don't realy help out since "OC Stuff" is going to pull from the 12v rail.

I have the OCZ 520 SLI for over a year now, and it's around 100$ and is the best damn power supply I have ever used!

EDIT: Even a FX-60 with a single high end vid card that is pretty well equpped and OC'd 20% can get by with a 450 watt supply, though a 500 watt would be a better choice to have some overhead.
