Default physics card?

I was looking at buying one of these
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...20Technologies
I was wondering if it will make a huge difference. Is it worth buying. And does it just slide into a pci slot that tahts it. If anyone has any feedback on this it would be much apprecieated

This months maxium PC has a review on the Asus Physx p1

they basicly said it wasent worth the money here is the exerpt from the bottom ( the review is 2 pages im not typing it out)

+ Includes full version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

- Too few games support the PhysX chip today: those that do dont take good advantage of it

$300 www.asus.com

Like raptor said, it's a bad deal because too few games support. Wait for more games to support it and you'll find physics processors are cheaper and more powerful.

In most tests, performance is actually worse while effects are pretty ho-hum. I have a feeling it's going nowhere

Heh i actually got into an argument on another site about this, one person screaming how it was the next revolution, i suggested it would go nowhere since we are now going into the 2+ core CPU range which i mean if i have a dual core CPU i haven't seen to many people talk about being able to max both Cores on most games, so i mean obviously as core #s go up the need for that physics card will probably go nowhere, since eventually we will have more spare CPU power than that Physics card will be capable of.
