Default VC driving me NUTS

Okay... this one is driving me bug-f*ck...

Everytime I play a game, or get any kind of good graphics rolling... my video card will error about a dozen times that it is experiencing insufficient power and to connect it's secondary power source...

The trick of it... THE DAMN THING IS ALREADY CONNECTED BOTH PLACES.

The power supply is a 500W monster, I'm running an 1800+ for Christ's sake, and I have not overclocked the card (my system has been pretty unstable, so I've been running standard settings). I'm really not runnin' that much power through my machine.

Motherboard has been trippy, and it's a 4X AGP connection for my 8x card... but it said that it was good for both.

I've tried three different power supplies, I've reseated the card, I've plugged different molex connections to it. I even tried to give it an entire chain to itself and unplugged every unnessary piece of my machine...

The card works fine, it's just the messages that drive me nuts! I tried playing a round of GTA: SA, and it kicked me out twenty times in two minutes!

Video Card is a BFG Asylum 5900 w/ Forceware 84.21 driver.

Anybody know how to get it to knock off the warnings?

That's a new one for me...

Have you tried Omega drivers, or possibly some older/newer ones than you have now?

Can you test it in another rig to see if it does the same thing?

Digi World had some issues with using a dual rail PSU on his Crossfire X-1900, it pulled to much amp load, going to a single rail power supply fixed it.

I know you tried a few power supplies, but were they single or dual rail?

I actually tried hooking up two power supplies. One to the board, and one to the card. One was an Antec 350W, and the other was a Vantec 500W. It was still doing it. Even if it was single rail, having two sources should have immediately eliminated any power woes...

I'll try another driver, so if it does the trick... I've gone through three drivers already... almost hate to do it again, as I just got the bloody thing configured for my Clone-Screen for my TV... but I'll give it another shot!

New bit of weirdness...

Found out that it was overheating... it seems it was giving me that error for being too hot...

I pulled my ATA controller (and the tentacles of ribbon cable that went with it) and it seems to have resolved it... Hopefully that did it...
