So I am playing around with clocking the heck out of my saphire 9800pro and I was wondering what a safe
GPU max temp would be (I have the r-360 core). I have a zalman heatpipe cooler on it with ramsinks and I am using an aerogate 2 temp probe to monitor card temps. I verified with a IR heat probe that the aerogate is within 2 degrees of being accurate.
So the thing is I went and did the volt mod upgrade to the card. Increased
gpu by .11v and mem by .15v It raised my
gpu temp about 3C and got me an extra 20mhz from the chip. Mem is up an unimpressive 4mhz. So with the volts up and the new max
oc running for close to 10 minutes I am seeing about 53C under full load, like I mentioned about 3 degrees more than before.
I would love to add a little more voltage to it and bring the clocks up even more by I don't know what the max temp is for these things. Thanks for any help you guys may be able to give. VF1000ride
