Default VGA active ram cooling?

Okay i've been looking into the mcw-60 waterblock from swiftech, i love my apogee and this GPU block is its little brother, so i'm hoping for relative performance. Anyways i noticed a chatch it as it only comes with ramsinks and no active cooling for the ram. WHen i upgrade i wanted to move to a new opty setup and also a 7900GT. The waterblock will mount to the 7900 as well as my 6600le.

My question is this, is there any seperate active cooling i can get for this, so far i haven't seen much for VC RAM cooling, except like the DD blocks which are 2x as much as the swiftech.

I doubt Active cooling for Video Card RAM is really needed. It only runs at about 2.0V's if GDDR3, RAM sinks would do fine IMO.

I have that block (the MCW-60) on my BFG 7800 Gtx and I love it. She keeps the gpu around 36-38c at 525Mhz ( I think normal is 430) Also I run the ram high as well. Heat has not been in isue with the ram, the ram sinks that come with the WB are more than enough to cool the chips. The only thing is if you are going to use them make sure they are on well before installing the card. I did not press hard enough on one of the sinks and it fell off

Other than that I would say go for it!

The only block that I know of that can cool both the GPU and RAM is this:

I had one of them for my 6800 and liked it, it did a good job, however I have been able to get a much better overcolck with my new bolck.

hmm Thats intresting yeah the DD blocks were the only ones i had seen so far that did active cooling, but for 2x as much as teh MCW-60 i can do a SLI setup for 1/2 the cost....

Anyways thanks for lettin me know the real world performance on those ramsinks.
