| P'Hoe'toshop Fanatic | What Rabit does is allow you to change features and do what you want to your card's BIOS. But notice that it's not changing the BIOS on-the-fly. You can use ATiTool to "dump" the BIOS, which means it saves a copy of your BIOS called an image. You use Rabit to edit the BIOS, and then you flash that BIOS that you just edited to you card. Now your card runs with the new settings. |

Yes, backing up your original bios is a very good idea. Have it on disk and ready to go in case your flash fails. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

![]() | ok well i dont have a floppy drive, is there a way i cna just save it as a image file on my desktop ? Im going to try and flash it to the X700XT but im going to have to turn the memory down a bit from 1050 to 850MHz, this is because the X700XT use's GDDR3 and im using GDDR2, but this will still run, corect ? aslong as i have the memory down to a speed that my card will be able to handle ? Also both my card (x700) and the x700xt use 128mb memory bus with 256mb onboard memory, so this is going to work i think .....wait ...i need a bios that says AGP or does it mater, if it doesny say AGP beside the bios does that mean its PCI-e ?
