Rivatuner not detecting correct speeds for my 6800GE

Hi all this might be a common problem with rivatuner but I don't know what to do.

Stock, an Asus 6800GE 256mb is supposed to run at 350/1000 but rivatuner is only detecting it as 200/599!
I tried the reboot detect thing it suggests to no avail.

Do I need to flash the bios of the card?

It can't be a good idea to force it through rivatuner to run at stock speeds can it?

Im not familiar with RivaTuner, nor have I ever heard of a GE model 6 series card, but those lower clock speeds could be 2D frequencies, as opposed to 3D frequencies.

i have never heard of ge series either, but my sugestion would be to try power strip, or rad linker, and see if they also detect the same frequences.

Check it.

My 5900SE does the same thing. 200mhz is the 2D frequency. When you start rendering 3D I know on my 5900SE there is a Light 3D speed (325mhz) and a Heavy 3D speed (400mhz) something like that.

The neat thing about cards like this is you can clock the **** out of it and not worry about burning up just sitting there doing nothing. It is designed to extend the life of the GPU, it works almost like VTEC.

And just for the record, VRIS > VTEC.

There is a GE edition Asus don't make a GT version and they confused alot of people into thinking this 'Gamers Edition' was a GT when it wasn't. It's still a powerful card tho, probably the next best thing after a GT in fact.

When this happened before I was confused when i benched only 6,000 on 3dmark03, but when I forced it to run at normal speeds using crappy asus smartdoctor it got back to 10,000.
So i'll see what I get now and if it's 10k then it is the 2D speeds as you guys say.
