Well, come sunday I will be getting a BFG 6600GT OC AGP for my birthday, no doubt about it. My only question is: should I try overclocking it? The rest of my system is pretty good:

1.5gigs PC2700
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ @ 2.08g
10k Raptor 74gig SATA
Audigy sound card
DVD drive, CDRW drive, blah blah blah

I have never OC'ed a video card before, because I have read that OC'ing my (current) 5200 would not be worth the hassle... so I am wondering if I should try to OC the 6600gt.. I will be using the card's stock cooling solution, but my case has superb airflaw. I am sort of cautious to OC because of my lack of experience with OC'ing video cards, and as far as I can tell, BFG's warrenty doesn't cover damage caused by an overclock. One more thing: I think that im gonna be blown away by the 6600gt's performance over my 5200 anyways... so would OC'ing it really make that much more a difference to me? Thanks for your guys help!

I don't have any experience overclocking NVidia cards, but from what I seem to recall reading, BFG OC cards are still able to be pushed further. In fact, a little further than most cards of their kind.

Just make sure you take it step by step. If you do it in small increments, your card won't explode or anything. You'll see artifacting on the screen (image messes up, different colored spots all over the place), and that's when you know to turn it down a notch
