Default FX5600 VideoSuite

FX5600 VideoSuite at 400/610 -> NOT possible. screen distortions everywhere. Runs like dense crap on a hot plate.

ok is with Micro$ and their development department!?!?!?!

In search of the elusive FPS increase i downloaded direcX 9.0c

and CFS1 wouldnt start... just the M)(*)(^&*) blue screen of death telling me that my RAM contentss are being saved to disk....who cares!!!!
so I had to remove the vid card drivers put in old ones remove those and then put in the new ones, and voila ( thats pronounced vwah lah and not vo I la, Kelly Bundy) the games starts... so to see if I actually received any benefit from this technological harassment by microcrotch I fired up my 3dMArk03 (softeware which calculates performance of a video card, this is known as bench mark software) and it now shows the dreaded blue screen of death with the message that the ram contents are being saved to disk...again who cares. Someone please tell me

1-Why cant i roll back to 9.0b

2-How can I fix this with out having to reformat my system

3-Why Billy Boy Gates has NOT received the deep penetrating invasion of the moisture missile he so deserves and is allowed to continue to frustrate our live with his greed and improvements and smugness?

as I rant and rave I hope that someone can show me how to solve this issue. all i want to do is fly.

If i could use Linux or Snake Oil OS or something I dont care anymore I want something that works.

I guess it does... I'm running at 350/650 right now and I think I can maybe crank it up a littlebit, but I'm always scared ****less when I saw the kind of distortions i got ) But Aren't the settings i'm running at weird in comparison to your data?

I have had my 9000 @ 285 and I think I did 290 or 295 once, with the RAM at 425. Didn't push the RAM far because I had no RAMsinks for it.

I also have a Voodoo 3000 max for you, stock 166 / 166 max 190 / 190 Hyundai TC-55 RAM, 200 / 200 Hyundai TC-6. Cool modded of course but I have seen stock cooled 3K's hit those numbers. You will find a lot of Voodoo 3 and up cards max out between 185 and 192, with Hyundai TC-6 cards inching to 200mhz.

Later this week I'll fool around with my 9700 Pro and see how high she'll clock, highest I had it is 365 core.

Hello All!!!

I try and try but i cant get my Sapphire ATI 9550 DDR 256 better than 450/231 (core/mem).
thats my max OC. I have the Zalman Aluminum Brick passive cooler and RAM heat sinks as well. I guess thats the breaks.. you get way OC on one half and mickey mouse on the other

W00t i say
mot19: RMA the BFG 6800 GT OC you just got!!!! I know you don't want to, but this is the OC i got by doing it from the nvidia control panel. It seems stable so far (10 minutes of NWN with all vid settings maxed , but i haven't put it through the ringer yet - will do tomorrow...it's past my bed-time )
And for the record:
>>GPU NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6800 Ultra

>>Bus Type AGP
>>Memory 256MB GDDR3
>>Core Clock 425MHz (vs. 400MHZ standard)
>>Memory Clock 1100MHz (effective)

EDIT: Hmmm...it seems that rivatuner doesn't agree with the gpu clock speed....lemme run a quick benchmark and see what i get

EDIT...er..EDIT: ROFL...definitely not stable .....so much for a "quick benchmark"....oy, i'm going to bed

hey guys heres my problem, hope you guys can help. I have a Pixelview/Prolink Geforce 6800GT and using the reg data Coolbits I've overclocked my 6800GT from 350/1000 to 400/1100, I've ran demo's and benchmarks with significant performance increase but it randomly freezes, not fully freeze but like every few minutes of gaming/benchmarking the screen will freeze for a few secs. Now I know the card is not overheating because I have got the Artic cooling NV silencer 5 and Artic silver 5 thermal compound and it idles at about 53-55 degrees and rises to about 62 degrees during gaming. I've tried using the "detect optimum frequency" option and each time it lowers it a bit. Now it's at 395/1080 but it's still doing it. By the way I did choose the Performance (3D) option before I overclocked. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try resetting back to Default....then reboot your rig.......Plus, do you have the latest drivers?

SAMSUNG 404

Yes I have the Forceware 70.90 drivers which I believe is the newest at the moment, it only freezes during dx9 applications eg. 3D Mark 2003 / HL2 / NFSU2 But it's fine during desktop work and watching movies. I've used it quite a bit in stock clock speed and it didn't have any problems.

Did you try "DirectX Diagnostic Tool"?

Might also try "Aida32" http://www.majorgeeks.com/download181.html

These might help you narrow it down...........

ok I got that utility and it has given me a load of info about my computer, is there anything in there that could tell me for sure what is wrong? Maybe you can tell me the fields which you suspect has problems and I will post the AIDA32 results of those fields on this board so you can hopefully figure out my problem.

Thanks in advance
