You could also connect the PWM 4-pin connector to the general 3-pin mainboard. If your mainboard supports PWM 4-pin connector, Hyper 6+ will control the fan speed through PWM function of the mainboard; if your mainboard supports general 3-pin connector, the Hyper 6+ will run the lowest fan speed.
