The Socket 478 Pentium 4 retaining system is made from special glass-fiber reinforced plastic. The retaining system mounts directly to the socket in the same manner that the stock Intel® bracket did. The retaining system covers over the water block and uses a lever to provide the exact pressure specified by Intel®.
