| After finally working out my RMA issues, I'm now sporting all new AM2 rigs...but still have a couple straggler Socket A systems. My buddy Terabyte gave me a load of surplus equipment from his PC store, and yep...it's almost all Socket A. Between my stuff and his, there's a lot of good components for building usable systems for a Folding farm, internet, old school games, etc. I have all the PCs I have room for already, so I am offering it all up to you. I've taken the time to go through just about everything here and thrown out anything not working, so I will offer a No-DOA warranty unless otherwise stated. If an item is DOA, I will refund the purchase price if it is shipped back to me and it is confirmed dead. If you want shipping insurance, you will pay for it. My terms are: PayPal, check (w/time to clear) or money order before I ship, PayPal preferred. I will ship by the cheapest method possible that includes a tracking number with nothing tacked on, but all items do not include shipping costs. I will provide packing materials and my labor for free, so no crying about it, meh? I do not accept "dibs". If you're interested, PM me and I will work a deal in the order received. If that falls through, I will contact the next in line, capiche? Yard Sale rules here: First cashola gets it. I will also entertain trades. Items I am looking for are: AM2 processor, DDR2 RAM, laptop drives, 4" dual UV cold cathodes, other interesting stuff. My info is: Main email: Wordbiker(at)hotmail.com. (Use this or a PM for any communications, this is also my PayPal addy) ISP email: Wordbiker(at)centurytel.net. (unlikely I'll see any mail sent to this addy) My Heatware: Wordbiker You can also check my Trader Rating here at PCApex. I will have more items to add after some of these have sold and I have time to take more pics, including RAM, more CPUs, more mobos, GPUs, HDDs and other misc hardware. Happy shopping ![]() __________________________________________________ _________________________________ OK, on to the good stuff: Used Socket A Duron 1200, DHD1200AMT18-AHLDA, asking $10 + shipping [PIC] ~SOLD! Narrow ATX board, tested and it posts. Includes original box, installation CD and manual. Asking $15 + shipping. [PIC] ~SOLD Used Gigabyte GA-7VKMLS for socket A, tested and working. Sub mATX size and a nice little board with onboard GPU, great for a SFF project at 9.5"X7.5". Bare board. Asking $25 + shipping. [PIC] ~SOLD! Used MSI MS-6367 v1.0 for socket A, tested and working. mATX size with onboard GPU. Asking $20 + shipping. [PIC] ~SOLD! Used Chaintech 7NIF2-Summit for socket A. This board was in my media server and serve it did well. nForce2 chipset w/onboard GPU, and even has some OCing settings. I have the original install CD and backplate, if I search around may have the original box and manual. Asking $35 + shipping [PIC] ~SOLD! Just pulled from my own system: Asus A7N8X-DX for socket A. No mods, no hacks, stock board, only used at LANs by a little old lady from Pasadena (or someone that has the same skillz gaming). Nice full-featured ATX board with backplate included. If you need it, I can dig out the original manual and driver CD. Asking $50 + shipping. ~SOLD! [PIC] __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Graphics Cards! I have no clue why I've collected so many GPUs, but these are all for slots other than PCI-E, so they all must perish...or be used in your rig. Sapphire Radeon 9700Pro 64MB: My main card back when this still impressed my LAN buddies with the sheer power and black PCB. It's now relegated to the "light gaming" machine, this card is still working just fine, but don't expect great things from OCing. I added RAMsinks, upgraded the stock fan, but this horse won't jump the fence. Keep it in the yard and it does everything a 9700Pro can be expected to do. Asking a mere $20 + shipping. [PIC] [PIC] ~SOLD This next GPU, a Leadtec 5700 Ultra 128MB AGP, may do a bit better in the OC department...though I never tried. Bought this to slap into a compact case for the kids to game on so I didn't feel it would cool well enough to try tweaking it. Pulled running so I'm sure it works, asking $40 + shipping [PIC] [PIC] ~SOLD! Have a mobo with a dead GPU? Well, this card is better than that! To the best of my knowledge, this is a VisionTek / nVidia: NV996.0 Rev. D 32MB TNT2 M64 card, most likely once at home in a Gateway system. Geez, that makes it a bit tough to pump up, eh? Selling to the first guy or gal with $5 + shipping. [PIC] So maybe you're more the type that likes shiny grab-bags... Here's what I believe to be either a Palit Daytona or a PNY Verto MX440 8xAGP 64MB card. Neither Palit nor PNY has any information I could find, but if it's the PNY, good news!: That means the other versions of this card are all passively cooled...so it won't matter so much that the attached fan is muerto. The card works fine without it, and you're welcome to put an actuall passive heatsink on yourself. A full afternoon of fun for the low price of $8 + shipping. [PIC] Is J-dogg in the hizzouse? This next card will match the tattoo he has on his ass. No, it's not a "Pwned by WB" brand...it's a 3DFX Voodoo3 2000 AGP2X 16MB in a stylish green shade. Since highly sought-after pieces of computer gaming history like this go for such astronomical prices as $2.22 on eBay, I'll offer this beauty at the larcenous price of $1.11 + shipping to the first person that thinks they can show J-dogg an old skool spanking. [PIC] __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Combo! This one is not for the faint of heart (or for anyone that doesn't love ancient hardware, heh). ![]() If you're asking WTF at this point, that's a Supermicro P6DBS dual 450MHz screamer! Wow, .9GHz at your disposal. You'll never need any more than that...heh. The board works and includes the two CPUs, 32MB and 128MB PC100 RAM, backplate, AGP card and sound card pictured with it. It has onboard SCSI RAID and other cool server features. Here's another [PIC]. Own this lovely piece of....*cough*...computing history for the low, low price of...hmmm. There's a couple on eBay for $120+ with no CPUs or cards, so....shall we say $50+ shipping? Did I mention this board was made in the good ol' US of A? No wonder it still works. ![]() If you're looking at sub-P4 gear, how about this Hewlett-Packard P2898-XV motherboard with a 350MHz Pentium II thrown in for good measure? System checks out fine and includes the stick of 128MB PC133. [PIC] Just to sweeten the deal, I'll throw in another pair of CPUs to play with, a P2 400MHz and a P3 450MHz...plus an extra cooler! [PIC] I didn't get a chance to test these, but I'm sure you can use the fans at the very least. I saw this same board on eBay for $40, so it's yours for $15 + shipping. Been thinking about going over to the Darkside? Now's your chance...with this sticker! Yes, the ubiquitous "Intel Inside" sticker, and now with the Core2Duo out...it's cool again! No more need to cover it with tape or an AMD sticker! The sticker is in mint condition, so I'm asking $50 for this bit of purchased image boost. What, that's not good enough? OK...buy the sticker and I'll throw in absolutely free this never used Pentium4 2.4C processor, including original box, packaging and a cute little matching heatsink, socket 478 stylie. [PIC] Yep, that's the CPU that was supposed to make my previous BOOMbox SFF project fly, but a second DOA POS FIC mobo and I clipped its' wings. Oh, and rumor has it that the 2.4C Northwood was one heck of an overclocker back in the day. Too bad I never got any of that action. ~SOLD! __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Other Stuff! Kinda tough to make a PC run without some memory and storage, so I'm offering up this Geil DDR400 RAM for one lucky duck. [PIC] It consists of two 512MB sticks for a full 1GB of mnemonic humminahummina. It's shiny and blue for you schizoid types...and there's one stick for each of you! Asking $40/ea or $75 for both. ~SOLD! Just pulled out of my main system I have a special treat: ![]() That right there is a pair of 256MB sticks (2X256=512MB) of Corsair XMS3500 DDR RAM. I sold a pair of these sticks once before for $70 and had a couple people tell me I was insane for selling now-extinct BH-5 for such a low price. Well, that's beside the point. I had noobishly already offered it at that price (and was of course taken up on it) and I honored the deal. I may be crazy, but I'm no welsher (with any due apologies to the Welsh). I'm offering identical sticks again, now for $80for the pair + shipping. No, I won't sell just one. ~SOLD!Using your laptop in a lightning storm? Other than some common sense, you may need this APC surge protector designed for laptops. [PIC] No, it won't do a damn thing to prevent you from being struck by lightning, but your last typed words may be saved for posterity....perhaps for a posthumous Darwin award presentation ceremony. Asking $3 + shipping. Not enough high voltage for you? Well, cold cathode inverters pack a pretty good wallop (don't ask how I know that) . This twin set of cold cathodes has not been installed though it has been out of the package for sizing. Blue went out of fashion that week so I had to go with something else...and now Blue is the new Blue again! [PIC] Jump on the fashion bandwagon for just $3 + shipping. Power VoIP-user? Now you can talk with a phone on each ear, or with a big broccoli rubber band you can make your own headset! A pair of USB audio adapters with handset or headphone jack options, one tested with no box, the other still in the box (you can tell I liked them), still useful for overriding PC audio issues or adapting a headset to USB. [PIC] Asking $2 each or both for $3 + shipping. OK, so let's say you only have a few things to remember...I have a stick of Infineon RAM for a laptop with your name on it...if your name is Infineon, that is. [PIC] 64MB of PC133 pulled from a Dell Inspiron 4100. Yours for $1 if you can use it. Do you want one heck of a deal on some huge SATA storage drives? Well so do I, so while I'm looking for deals, you can buy these smallish IDE drives to get you by. The first is a 30GB Western Digital Caviar, model WD300BB-75DEAO....Dea-a-a-oh. Daylight come an' me wanna....err, sorry. The second is a 20GB Quantum Fireball CX, 3.5 series. Both of these drives were recently formatted and checkdisked. [PIC] Good to go for a smaller system. I'll take $15 for either, so be quick and get yourself an extra 10GB. ~SOLD!OK, let's say you already have a ton of drives, but not enough mobo headers to run them all on your machine. IDE controllers are what you need, and it just so happens...what I have for sale. [PIC] Promise controllers in ATA66 and ATA100(~SOLD!) flavors, both tested and I can include the drivers on a floppy for ya. Pick them both up for $15, or $8/ea. Add-On Cards! I seem to have quite a collection of these, but for a purpose: They are all ostensibly for fixing broken PCs, but I have a few more than I see needing in the near future. [PIC] Some of them are even new in the box, purchased in bulk for a savings but never used....sort of like buying stuff at Sam's Club. [PIC] The rest are either pulls or mystery meat from my Dresser of Imminent Doom filled with all my extra gear. They include: Sound cards 10/100 NICs 10/100/1000 NIC ~SOLD! USB 2.0 cards (w/ 2internal and 2 external headers) Modems ISA cards God knows what else I won't go through and test every one (some are used, some are brand new), but if you need something, ask and I'll gladly test before shipping...and I'll either give you the original driver disk or find the drivers and make you one. To make up for my time, PayPal fees and shipping materials, I'll sell one for $5, two for $4/ea, three or more for $3/ea + shipping. __________________________________________________ ________________________________ WiFi! I thought this item deserved its own listing because WiFi is just the coolest thing since wireless internet access. This Netgear WG311 32-bit PCI 802.11b/g card always worked well for me, but I just recently ran into a snag with it: This version is not supported by Vista! The very next revision of the card and beyond all have Vista support, so if you're one of the many that feel Vista is the next Edsel and will dissappear quicker than it came, leaving you smugly the master of Windows ME...then this could be your ticket to freedom from that token ring network. All I'm asking is a measly $20 + shipping. [PIC] ~SOLD! __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Watercooling! Once upon a time I had aspirations of becoming (yet another) watercooling guru. The form of my pwnage was to be a watercooled Shuttle-sized socket 478, but due to a few issues with proprietary mobos, PSUs, me making the project too complicated to complete,etc...the project was abandoned. The kit consists of Swiftech MCW5000 CPU and MCW50 GPU blocks both selected for low-profile installation (and surprisingly still available for purchase at a few stores). As far as I can tell, all the stock hardware is still in the bags and included. There are also a lot of extra fittings, clamps and misc hardware included, everything pictured (minus the towel). The tubing is all 3/8" Tygon and the Black Ice Micro II is designed for twin 80MM fans. The rad has been modified for the previously mentioned application (gave a pathway for RAM cooling in the tiny case that would've otherwise been blocked) but should be able to mount up into any case. The Hydor L20 pump has also been altered for tight clearance, but nothing that should affect function (the basket was removed and a 90-degree fitting added). After selecting all these parts, plugging it together for a test loop and running it for 24 hours....it was never installed. A bit of cleaning and you could have yourself a complete Swiftech H2O setup for a smaller system for the (now discounted) price of the waterblocks alone. [PIC1] [PIC2] [PIC3] Asking $65 + shipping. __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Complete systems! Useful as a backup rig, internet surfer or anything else an elderly laptop does, this Gateway Solo 1150 has a 550MHz Celeron CPU, 160MB RAM, 6GB HDD, CD-ROM and a battery life of about 15 minutes. It has been reloaded with TinyXP, though the original Windows ME COA sticker is on the bottom. Also included are a D-Link 802.11B wireless card, AC adapter, carrying bag and the original Gateway manual. [PIC] Asking $100 OBO + shipping. Though not actually complete or working, this is a system: ![]() If you've been locked in a time capsule, that's a Playstation2 console purchased the year after originally released (it's a V.4). After the kids and I got a ton of use out of it...it stopped working and it was stored. Since then all the peripherals have been lost (no cables, controllers, games....nothing but the console and box), a friend tried and failed to fix it...and it's sat in my storage awaiting my ambitions to mod it. I have plenty of other projects, so if modding these is your thing, I am asking a mere $20 + shipping. Last edited by Wordbiker; 25-January-07 at 11:30 PM.. Reason: Adding more info, updating | ||

I do have some, but I didn't figure anyone would be interested. I have a stock AMD, one just like a stocker from Coolermaster and a ThermalTake Mini Copper Orb. If I dig a bit I might find more. Tell you what: First three CPUs sold will get a cooler thrown in for free, your choice of those I just listed.

Yep, sure is. Although I'm not much of an overclocker (none of these CPUs were ever abused), I used this CPU in my own rig, and once upon a time had it running at 2.5GHz. It's run at stock ever since, but not because it had to. If I can sell enough of this gear to get my new AM2 media server going, I'll be selling the Corsair BH5 that I got that OC with. Just can't part out that system til I have one to replace it with. It's running a 3000+ socket A Barton on an Asus A7N8X-DX that I'll be selling too.

| It's been a while since I've used my Socket A mobo. Will that Geforce4MX be able to play Need For Speed Underground? Im thinking of putting back together my old rig for my sisters Christmas present and that 1800 is looking awful tempting. Just gotta convince the parents now. ![]() | ||

yes that card will run NFS, it actually beats my FX5500, i have one tehe, it lacks some pixel shaders, but has some OCablilty I'm seriously thinking about one of those 1800's, i need a chip that can OC, my 2200+ is an A model that doesnt at all.

Yes, yes I do. Thanks ![]() Just thought I'd add: I researched my prices based upon what matching gear I could find still available online, then slashed them in half. If you don't feel a price is fair, make me an offer and we'll see what we can do. You're wrong, they are fair, but at least I can get a good laugh out of it. ![]() Last edited by Wordbiker; 05-December-06 at 10:34 PM..

| Bumped for a couple new items and marking a few sold. I did say this is a MADNESS! sale and I'm not done posting items. Rest assured, it is taking longer because I am testing these items and trying to give you the best pics possible for your purchasing decisions. I'd post more now but my wife just called me to dinner...WOOT! | ||
