Hello,

I am looking to buy a laptop. The specs must be no lower than 1GHz, with 256MB RAM (256 must be one stick)- laptop needs to be in good working order

I am looking for this laptop for a nursing student who is stuggling to keep up with her courses- because of the lack of a computer. She doesn't really have room for a desktop. Seller must be willing to ship to Canada, and of course I will pay the fees associated with this [but if you want to help- I won't complain]- I'm really looking to be able to get this machine to her for Christmas.

i have a hp pavillion ze1000 laptop... (thats what the bottom says)
but the top says pavillion xf335..
its a mobile athlon xp1400 1.3ghz?
256mb (shared) ram (one stick)
27.9gb hard drive (says windows)
DVD/CDRW drive
internal nic/modem. sound out/mic in. 2usb, 2pcmcia vga/lpt out

i use this laptop occasionally for work.. its in fairly good condition... a few scratches here and there, and a leftover silohette of a sticker on the top from previous owner. im sure i have the recovery cd around somewhere if you need it.. its retail, so its not a "real" xp home cd, but the retail XP Home sticker is still on the bottom...

the battery is a little strange.. sometimes it holds charge, sometimes it does not. when its on AC, it works fine.. i think it just doesnt hold charge if you leave it unplugged and not using it.. but it usually works fine when you are using it.

I thought I had posted a price range, my mistake- hopefully no more than 500USD shipped. If shipping makes it a bit more, than that is ok.

There are a lot of deals going around right now for brand new laptops under $500.
Look at this Dell with 1 GB of RAM for $499.
