Very nice! I am glad that it turned out so well. Hopefully you aren't my only customer, either.

Here are a couple of pics of an etch that will cover the PSU area on my case. This is not the final one I will use, but it is pretty cool what you can do with a little paint.

Your flames look really sweet, i meant to tell you when i mounted my window i had baught some really cool clamps to hold the window in place and stop it from moving so i could drill the holes in it, these are spring loaded and strong as hell, i baught 4 large ones and 4 smaller ones here a picture of those clamps i am talking about, the 4 large ones where $1.97 each and the smaller ones where $1.24 each got them at Walmart, they work perfit for keeping your window in place when etching or drilling your holes to mount your window.

You should do a multi layer etch, different panes of plexi side lit with different colors. I bet you could do some awesome stuff. I may do an etch for my current preoject but if I end up sucking I'll probably be coming your way. Awesome work.

@ranger: Thanks for the tip bro, I will be getting some of those for sure!

@thedemonxanth: Thanks for the idea, you just got yourself some bling! I will definately have to try something like that. One question, though, how do you arrange the LEDs so they are shining on one piece? Glue them to the plexi one the side?

Can you etch black plexiglas? I've got some ideas running around and I'm thinking of 6"*4" piece that I would like etched. I'm thinking the image would probably by a II along with some text.

No problem, I can do any color, I just have to order it online first. PM me sometime and we can hook it up.

@Lokie: You're the man!!!!!!!!!

Just keep in mind that true black plexi, the etch will be on the outside of the piece. Now tinted would work or even a thin clear layer to protect the etching.

The first thread ran pretty long and had some complaints...waaahhh so I started another. I really like the way the dragonModz window turned out. PCA has had me really bizy to keep up with projects....right now I'm dealing with an asshat welder that might have fubared my PSU mod....GRRR!

That dragonmodz window is PIMP! I want to be able to do stuff like that eventually, I just need more tools!

Anyway I finished the 2nd layer of my 3 layer etch for my case. The LED is shining through the side and the blue at the bottom is painters tape. The stencil is still on the bottom.

I was wondering what color to do each layer, I was thinking blue, orange, and UV for the 3 layers. Do you guys think those colors will work together?

multi layers is a fun way to show off details, try the combonations and see what is best for you.

Sorry had to work late today, but for your case I was thinking a elevated etched window on top of the case, to kinade blend in the top with a design.

Do you mean a piece the same size and same place but with etchings? Do you think I should still paint it black?

EDIT: Here are som more etches I am doing for my case mod.

No lit up shots of the layered etch yet, I hate soldering LEDs!! I will try to find some time tomorrow to wire some more up and post some new pics.

Here is the final version of the flames for the side. I ditched the other one because it was cutting off the flames with the panel on. You can only see the words with the panel off.

You do some awesome work man, I have afull set of diamond etching bits for my dremel, it came with the little battery dremel my mother uses on her nails

I'm planning on some etches in the plexifor my LANPAQed case, i really need to get back to that, what an idea, perfect time to do that right now, due to my unemployment

Anyhow, keep up the good work, i'll have to start working on my project so i can learn my etching skills.

@Lokie, that little case is quite awesome looking, and that plasticfrom the TV box is a good idea for intake, i'm planning the samekinda thing with my LANPAQed case, just the intake scoop will be on the bottom.

Sounds good ranger!

I should also add that with some newly acquired skills I can now turn nearly any photograph into an etch. This means, Ranger, that I could now attempt your original yoda design with much more confidence. If I get some spare time over the holidays I will do a small one, maybe 5x7, and if you like it I could make you a larger one.
