it doesn't take much to change them, is it worth shipping our fans out to get you to change the LEDs in the first place?

LEDs are so cheap too, how does this service actually help anyone?

I don't mean to be an A$$ about it, I think its great your trying to offer help to people and maybe make a couple bucks for yourself, it just doesn't see like cost efficient system for the rest of us...

Good luck though I hope everything works out for ya!

We sell our blue LEDs for 1$ so really the idea we had was more if you had an mulit color LED fan you did not really like and did not want to hassle with changing them yourself.

pretty good idea, are the replacement LED's brighter then stock LED's if compaired to a normal blue LED fan that you can buy at another online retailer? for example ones at svc? http://svc.com/80bluquadled.html

just wondering because if i rember right the green LED fans arnt very bright and if you can get some green fans being made that have high qualtiy LED and they glow bright green you might be able to make a little more money

im not shure if this makes since.

We use our top quality LEDs the same ones that we sell at our store. The LEDs are for the most part brighter. If your fan has 5mm LEDs we have a lot more colors to choose from also.

On my tri-LED antec fan, the lights light up by the fan spinning, doesnt use the fans power source. Are these kind replaceable?

Im almost positive every type of LED fan I have ever seen runs of a small set of wires to a flexable PCB the LEDs are soldered to. Would you mind Taking a picture of the fan close up so I can take a look? That will tell me if they are able to be replaced.
Thanks

If your actully moding the fans I would bore out more holes for LEDs and put them in, not just replace LEDs, the guy at radio shack could probly do that for free, hell I could do it myself.

Mustang, I took the fan out to clean, ran water through it, and used a hair dryer to dry it. The hair dyer made the fan spin, and the LEDs were lighting up without any power. Im just curious to see if you have seen that, and if they are replacable.

I myself have never heard of that! Very odd I must say. Good idea I think we might be able to do that drilling out the holes and replacing the LEDs with brighter 5mm LEDs.

If you could find a good CHEAP source for the clear fans you could make them yourself and just sell them as LED Fans..

Mustang...I have to tell you that you have a good idea...especially if the LED's are brighter and of better quality. However, the wiring in your pic needs some work. You might want to consider using a different color wiring, maybe white or clear, and finding a way to secure it more to the fan.

you could also use a film type resistor to minimize the clutter on the fan..

That was a rough project. All LED fans we do for people have shrink wrapping around the resistor and the resistor is half that size. Thanks for you guys input.
