Well guys the age old arguement has swayed me from a P4 2.53ghz cpu & Soyo SY-P4x400 Dragon Ultra Platinum motherboard (website for mobo: http://soyousa.com/products/proddesc.php?id=159 ). I want to move into the AMD family, and this means those 2 items are up for sale. BOTH these items are brand new, I have the factory packaging for the motherboard and all software, also have book to go with th P4 chip. NO packaging for the chip though.

I'm looking for an honest trade, or a decent offer.

I'm looking for an Asus A7N8X Deluxe mobo, to handle a 3000+ xp chip.

I'm willing to pay ontop of the trade for that chip and mobo.

The only other core design is Williamette and those cannot go over 2GHz and be stable.

BooSh, you should know by now any 2GHz+ P4 other than the 2GHz (non-"A") P4 is a northwood. Did you mean to ask bus speed?

actually yea i thought they were all northwoods and i meant to ask which rev it was (A b or c) it was either a / b cause of the 533 bus speed but thats off the subject lol

I might want to buy it, one of my rigs is an A7N8X Deluxe with an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ I have an empty case, but nothin to put in it. btw the Deluxe is a nice mobo, btw i am serious about buying it.

IF your concidering the board I'll add a stick of 512mb PC2700 DDR Ram to the board. however I wouldn't sell the combo (ram and board) for less then $180 usd.

well heres where I'm comming from. The motherboard is brand new, all packaging, cd's, manuals, etc. included. So I really don't want to lose too much cash on it...I paid $280 (canadian) plus taxes (still have receipt), so I guess I could let it go for a little less say $220 (canadian) no taxes...I dunno its hard to say, I'm not too firm on the price but too much lower then that and I might as well just keep it right?

now the chip is a totally different story. If I sell the chip then I have to buy another Intel chip for my board, so in a deal involving the chip I would like to swap for AMD system equipment, no point selling Intel chip and then go out and buy another one right? And if I get an AMD chip I would need a AMD so really it would need to be a Intel = AMD swap, and I will add cash if the AMD equipment is kick ass.


Fast breakdown:

Motherboard $220 (canadian) hopefully....
Intel 2.53ghz 533mhz FSB (trade chip AND mobo for a AMD chip mobo)

Ideally I'd love a Asus Delux and 3000+ Barton...I would pay the extra on top of the trade.


I hope this makes some sense to you...I'd love AMD equipment and I don't mind paying ontop of trade BUT I would need both AMD chip AND board....
