I have a situation. I am in need of a co-signer for a loan. I am in college, 15 hours away from graduation, and nobody in my family can qualify as a co-signer.

If anyone is willing to help me out, I will pay you $500 out of my loan amount for your trouble. The loan will be out of your name and strictly under mine within a year of my graduation in May when I reconsolidate.

It is also a deferred loan, so you don't even have to worry about my having to make payments on it for 2 years. The loan company is Sallie Mae, and it is a web application, so it's quick and easy.

ANY assistance that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.

i'm sorry dude, i can't help you out (can't be a co-signer only 19 and no credit to speak of). How come you are having trouble with Sallie Mae. I had to beat them away with threats of legal action from me and my Dad to keep them from giving me a loan.

Guys, I'm being totally serious about this. I'm no a scammer, con artist, etc. I'm a guy who's 15 hours away from graduation and very desperate for some help. I knew that some people would give me a lot of crap about my post and I was ready for that. For those of you who don't know who I am from here, I'm the one who was taking questions for the article on modding that I recently wrote for the TimesDaily here in Florence. (Why Do You Mod parts I and II.)

My situation is simple. I can no longer recieve federal financial aid because I am at the 172 hour limit. The reason for this is because, for some unknown reason, my school started counting my transfer hours. I just want to be able to finish my degree, and I am willing to give up $500 out of my loan to do it. I really could stand to keep it, but if that's what it takes then so be it. I'm out of options and this is essentially my last resort.

So, flame me if you want to, but this is a serious and desperate request. If you aren't wanting to help, that's fine too. But I really don't like being likened to a crook when I am not one. Not trying to step on anyone's toes. Just want you to know that this really is a serious request and a serious offer for $500 back whenever my loan check comes in to the school.

Have you gone to your financial aid office and asked them about options?
They want you to stay in school, it's what pays thier paychecks.

EDIT: $10 an hour for McD's? it's state minimum here for just about everything. $6.25.

I don't mean to sound rude, but this does sound kinda fishy. Why can't anyone you personally know or a family member be a co-signer??
