I have a BFG Tech 7800 GT OC. Brand new in box. I used this thing for about a week on my new system until my 7800 GTX showed up. Paid over $300 for this a few months ago. My loss your gain. Comes in retail packaging with all cables, software and doo dads.

now, am i to understand that with the new nvidia drivers, this will work in SLI with my evga 7800gt?
even though they arent the same core, speed, etc?

I have no idea. I had 2 of these in SLi but then I got a GTX sold one of the cards. This never worked in SLi with my eVGA GTX.

cards from different companies will never work in SLI

i don't even think different cards from the same company will work in SLI

Why did you post that Alrees?

Cards from different companies will work in SLI, it was fixed in a driver update. It will just clock the two cards to the lower clocked of the two.

The only reason they didnt work for no-control is becuase he tried a 7800gt with a 7800gtx, that will obviously not work.

Quite a bold statement if you honestly don't know what you are talking about, Alrees.

I can confirm what Waffles said, with new drivers, two cards of the same model (e.g. two 7800GTs, two 6600GTs etc...) will work together in SLi.

You cannot however use different models in SLi, e.g. a 6600GT and a 7800GT.

see, i was to understand that even that will work, as long as they are from the same series... like 78xx so that GT and GTX and GTX KO and whatnot can all play nice together even from different vendors...
but, perhaps you are right..
