Need: 1ghz/1000mhz P3 processors

Here's the deal: I need a pair of 1 ghz Pentium 3's. But they need to be a specific type; Slot 1's with 100mhz FSB. The part number for the retail package version of this is SL4KL; for the OEM it's SL4BR.

Also, 512MB PC100 Registered ECC SDRAM sticks are on my list too.

Anybody know how to hook me up with any? I have some other parts that I might be able to trade, as well as plain old coin if necessary.

i have a matched pair of 933mhz P3 slot 1's, if that will help you at all. they have those gigantor passive heatsinks on them as well

Alas... it looks as though the equipment maxes out at 700 mhz P3's unless I go with a special upgrade from Powerleap. The computer in question is an old PowerEdge 2300 with PII 450 in it. And $300 for the Powerleap upgrade is a little pricey.

I intend to use the computer for transcription, ie speech to text. With 1 proc running all the accessory tasks and other apps, having a single 1ghz cpu dedicated to speech recognition seems like a decent idea to me. That should provide for a very stable environment for something like Dragon to run from. Any recommendations are welcome, and if a mod wants this moved go nuts.

Yes and no. Information on this turns up some quirks on the particular mobo. If I went with PC133 it would work but I probably couldn't take the mem up to the maximum for the board of 2 gigs, which I intend to do. However, the RAM is less hard to find. I think I got all the sources I need. Now I just need to plan on how else to pimp... err... apex? it out.
