Talking Need VGA2NTSC for free + tax break

Short Story: I can get you a tax break if you can donate a VGA-to-NTSC converter to Lil Squirrel's elementary school.

Long Story: So I'm in the basement of the elementary school resupplying the school store with green folders [with prongs 50 cents] and I go to chat with the art teacher. She's telling me how she has these PowerPoint presentations for the squids and no good way to show them.

Trooping up to the lab takes 30 minutes and she only has the kids 45 minutes a week - not practical.

There is a projector but it's finicky, has to be checked out of the library and requires she erect a portable screen - a real pain.

She has a computer. She has a TV and VCR. The solution is obvious and around $75 bucks.

So I told her I'd scrounge.

If you have one of these devices lying in your junk closet ...
and you need a tax break this coming year ...
You could donate it to the Midvale Elementary PTA, a 501(c)3 organization which means it's a non-profit
and write it and the cost of shipping off.

I'd really prefer an external device for reasons of internal school politics [the county has a fit if non-employees open county property]. But I'll take what I can get.

Thank you for your time

Most are S-video out, some older ones had RCA out. You can convert s-video to composite RCA though.

I unfortunately don't have a convertor like that or else it'd be all yours. Good luck.

Talking In other words ...

Nice price on the Datavision unit, but I'm still hoping for free.

And if I don't get one for free, I hope to be able to hit the PTA up for the cash.

Fingers crossed

PM me HighTech if you think those two pieces will hook a PC to a TV - sounds like they will.
