| if you have to ask what it is... you probably dont have one. but back "in the day" they existed. http://www.cyberresearch.com/store/p..._01_3114.2.htm i dont care if the fans work or not, they will be replaced either way, so long as the card itself is funtional. | ||

| because it has to be full length isa. and do you have any idea how much work it would be to find an old card, de-solder all 10,000 ic's and then jury rig it to work... nah i'd rather look for the real thing. These fans will be cooling the 2 amd processors in my router project. | ||

| close but no cigar. I actually have one but there are two issues that i have: one, i need the fans at the end of a full lengh card. 2. it needs to derive its power from the isa slot if at all possible. So i whipped an image on good old paind to show what i need. I'm working on a dual amd motherboard and the processors (RED) have their own passive heatsink. given the nature of amd processors i want to cool them with a fan. A long fan card like i linked will blow almost perfectly over the heatsinks. ![]() the card is the green thing. | ||

| Hmmm.... you could get a 92 or 120mm fan and mount it above both CPU's passive heatsinks.... One from Tt, 70-100CFM would work. Then all you would need would be a fabricated bracket.... easy stuff to get and easy to make... problem solved for less money. Could use small self tapping screws, a small L bracket, and you would be set. Screw it to the case directly over the CPUs. | ||

| U can always make a pci card fan system. maybe mount a some plexi glass comming of a pci bracket then drill the holes out where u want them and install fans. Also u could make it to where it could fit in a pci socket for extra support, i don't think it would hurt it. It would look made w/ some etchings too.![]() Here is one made of wood but not as long as u want. ![]() | ||

Glad i could shed some pimp brain. ![]() I was thinking airflow would be better w/ the plexi if u drill holes through out the card where the fans wont be. Also u can use it to cool ur video card if u got one. ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Damn Lucky, you aren't a very postive thinking person, are you? With my suggestion, why would you have to de-solder anything? Just use a hole saw and cut straight through the whole damn thing. You can disable the slot in the BIOS. Spin the saw up and anything in the way be damned. | ||
