| Not surprised here... Tycoon hasn't made a good impression on me, he once neg rep me for no reason. It was on this old thread, and i wasn't even talking to him. I don't know, he just always sounds like he's pissed at everyone. Not that I hate him or anything, he just seems grumpy ![]() | ||

| -This is why it is so important to leave trader feedback...you dont need to wait 1-3 months to give it, it doesnt matter if they finally came through in the end... by some people not leaving -trader feedback right when the trasaction became too shady to put up with, other members got screwed over by not seeing that negative mark in the trader feedback when making a deal in the same time frame. correct me if im wrong on this one but- Its better to leave negative trader feedback sooner than later, because if youre deal is hitting 3 or 4 weeks with no cash/product then that is a bad transaction. A fellow member might be conducting a deal with that bad trader during the time frame of youre transaction......but how will that fellow member know that this trader is shady? He/she wont, now there is possibly more than one problem. If you beleive you left negative feedback too soon ( 2 weeks ) then i beleive a moderator wouldnt have a problem changing it to a " ? " or a " + " if you want. This will protect other members from a bad transaction.^ i hope that made sence ![]() | ||

Dude, the whining is annoying. Don't make the admins post all the links. This does bring up an interesting point however... Forum ethics are somewhat a gray area. How long is acceptable for a transaction to take place? What I am getting at is if both parties know and trust one another, this could be years before the issue is truly settled. I have friends and neighbors that owe me favors or hold items of mine for long periods of time, but I'm fine with that as the relationship goes back for many years. The difference here at PR is all of us are riding upon the integrity and bandwidth owned by someone else, namely Gary Mullins. Now, since we are all in Gary's house, it seems to me that we must all be respectful that this is not our own home, and must abide by the rules of the house. Perhaps what is needed is a firm set of rules or some sort of guideline to what is acceptable trading practice in Gary's house. If some sort of guide to acceptable trading practice could be added to the rules, then those that feel wronged would have some sort of civil backing to their claims, and those that feel wrongly accused will have a defense. Believe me, I would much rather depend upon the common decency of human beings having conscience enough to not want to screw one another over, but as we all know...that's wishful thinking. To avoid making a suggestion (whine) without offering a solution, I would offer up that any transaction that goes without a response for two full weeks should merit a bad trader rating, unless previous arrangements have been made. If you give bad trader rep before this time, it is you that should get the demerit. If these rules are known and required for people to post their trades here in Gary's house, then there should be no complaints. If you wish to play fast and loose, then you shouldn't be allowed to post it here openly.

I can tell you this: If you read the thread it starts out about the Katrina caper, but the crux of the problem and the reason you are listed as a questionable trader is you backed out of a few deals, gave the other person bad trader rep for that, and to top it all off have multiple accounts. So your name will stay on the list for those reasons. Wordbiker I will be talking to BA and GK about some trader rule revisions.

| I wouldn't say so. You've kept communication up with him and he knows what's going on. Now if you stopped posting on PR and fed him some sob story or stopped communicating with him, then I'd take steps. Communication is key. If I don't have money or product in hand within 3 or 4 weeks, I better know why it's not there. Real life exists, and if someone has to go out of town on business or a family emergency or is hospitalized, it happens. This is why communication is so important when complications arise. | ||
