MY, you might want to read this before deciding what is rude and what isn't in this forum. The powers that be don't have a problem with it, and I certainly don't either. Oh, please read this thread, too.

Your list of sale items looks good and for fair prices, and you got all the rules down on your first post which is more than i can say for most new members

BTW, Welcome to PR. i hope you stick around and enjoy the *good* people here.

scratch that, you need to list your ISP.

Master Yuck joined earlier than a lot of the current staff. Back when he was a regular it was normal to dig into n00bies who tried to sell on first post. Cut him some slack folks, it's not like you check the rules after 3 years of being a member at a site. Rules just shifted on him. *shrug*

ADD: For that minor of forum ettiquette violation - I hope y'all that've been neg repping Master Yuck get off on it. It's definately uncalled for.

if by ISP you mean my email account i dont want to have to do this , for a very simple reason i dont use it . i never have checked it since haveing this ISP service provider.

for the sound cards they all worked when last used , i havent used them in a couple years so i dont know if anything has happened to them or not. they are all in anti static bags .

i have replied to PMs recieved ,

i'm sorry if i caused any problems posting these items here for sale. these items listed have all been items i purchased over the years. nothing is being sold to make profit of , i have myself paid alot more for alot of these items than i am selling them for

you will find i am someone who doesnt post much but in for sale ads , i am a reader in many forums and enjoy reading in this one

if anyone wishs to contact me by my heatware email account to confirm who i am please feel free to do so. you will find i have sold to a great deal of people over many years. some of which are system adminstrators to trollhunters

if my AD is in appropiate to be posted here then by all means please remove it

hugs

Its just part of the rules, an ISP protects the buyer/seller. meaning (hypothetically) if you ditch out on the deal your address and real name will be available to the buyer/seller if legal action is needed.

regardless if you check your mail or not.

and you got another pm about the HDD cage

Jen does seem to have quite a lot of good references to her favor from Heatware and the other site. So if anyone chooses to deal with her they will be doing so knowing she is an unknown just now on PR. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just that those persons will be the PR guinea pigs so to speak.

Jen has followed all the rules except the ISP email addy, and explained the reasoning. Still though it is required so please provide it with that caveat.

So if you want to deal with Jen then do so, if not then don't.

Welcome to PR Jen, good luck.

Welcome to PR Jen.

New or not the rules are the rules even if you don't want them to be.

Many flames have been tossed into prior posts because of the ISP email.

You are no better than any other poster out there.

Its already stated that it makes no dif if you actualy use it or not.

If you intend to buck the forum rules then I have no desire to trade with you.

I don't think your first post being a FS post is a problem, however
by thumbing your nose at the house rules in more than one post IS rude in my book.

Glad you got some nice stuff FS but I'll have no use for it until you meet the PR FS requirments.

I do not meen to sound rude, but the wording of the rule being refered to seems to be a little tricky.

1. All traders will have a valid ISP e-mail address. Free e-mails are not acceptable. This protects the seller, the buyer, and the website. ISP e-mail addresses are billed to a real person at a real address.

I tried to read the forsale rules as closely as possible but as far as I am conserned, all you have to do is have an isp address. Please correct me if I am worng, but the wording does not specifically state that you need to have this displayed in the thread. I am most likely wrong, but I make this assumption based off the wording and other user's threads.

Example: Link I do not see any valid isp email address on the thread displayed. Nor do I see any isp e-mail address displayed in the profile. I am sure it is somewhere, but I, personally, do not see one.

One thing I am for certain though is that the administrators have made it very clear that thread crapping is not to be tolerated. Whenever I see a trader violating a rule or if I think they have too high of prices, ect.. I do not post my qualm with them on the thread, I send a PM. I personally think that users should be allowed to display their true feelings in threads though, so I as a trader will know that the individual thread crapping lacks courtesy, and will likely be an individual I do not want to do business with.

I apologize if my post is out of line, but Jen is a friend of mine and i do not think she deserves to have her thread crapped all over. She is a good trader, a good friend, and she should be welcomed into this community by all members. I must note that most of the users and especially the admin have been very nice though.

edit: All right 50th post, time to get rid of that rediculous old avatar!

Now how is someone supposed to know that you "have" an isp unless you post it in your sale thread.
the reason its not visible in the profile is to to prevent spammers, and its only needed if your buying/selling.

And how hard is it to post your isp in the thread?

oh and to the thread starter here, you have pm to finalize the sale.

-edit-
im not crapping the thread..i am a buyer.

Jen,

First off, welcome to PimpRig.

Please read the rules regarding ISP emails, which looks like other people have already mentioned.

There are no rules against selling on your first post, but think of this way: I meet you in public, and we greet each other for the first time. Rather than talking about anything or getting to know each other, you tell me your selling your house and give me details. Catch my point? It's just not very tactful.
