    |  Freebies Thread? Just a thought... Perhaps we could open a "Freebies" thread within the Trading Post. Seen this over at PCPer, it is kind of recent, and I don't know for sure how well it will work out, but I liked the idea, thought it would carry over well here... The Premise: You have a piece of hardware that you either don't use or just plain don't need. You'd make maybe $1~$5 trying to sell it through the Trading Post, and then you also have to pay for shipping, possibly negating some or most of that $5. Someone else needs that piece for whatever reason. They don't have a lot of money to throw around. What Happens: You post your freebie in the Freebies thread, theirs for the cost of shipping. They PM you asking if you still have it, their shipping info, and you ship it to them (don't forget to edit your post!). They pay you back for the shipping, they have a piece of hardware they need, and you feel good that you were able to help out a fellow Pimp(ette) What do y'all think about it? Doable, or just another worthless suggestion from the crazy old guy?

Bite me...  Well, let's just see how this goes: I've got two PCI sound cards and three A64 retail HSFs sitting here collecting dust. I don't think I have the driver CDs for the sound cards, but that should be an easy download. If someone needs them, I can hunt for the driver CDs, but no guarantees...  Creative Labs Model # CT 4740 (PCI 16) Philips PSC70317 (4-channel). The Philips support page shows the picture of the box, and it looks the same as what I remember buying for the wife's machine a few years back... A64 HSFs that come with just about any s754/s939/s940 CPUs...

 (oh, for the love of a finger-flippin' smilie... ) Just went on a 5-mile run today (8 minute miles avg), my hips ain't going no-danged-where... My knees and back are already gone, though...Back on subject, though, it sounds like it just needs the G-Man's blessing... Already PM'd BA and he thought it would be a good thing...
