5. There will be no thread crapping. Everyone is capable of making their own trade decisions. If you are interested in an item, but think a price is too high, send a PM. If you think a price is too high, and are not interested, keep your mouth shut. We can all go to Newegg and look up fair market value. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| Light My Fire | if that is a SLOT1 SEC type cpu (the one that looks like a big, black game cartridge) then yes, that is a very reasonable price.... if it is a socket SPGA type cpu (like a regular type flat chip with pins on the bottom) then that price is maybe $5 - $10 too high... the SLOT1 cpus are rather desireable because of the limited upgradeability of SLOT1 motherboards, and the fact that the cpu in question is on the upper rung as far as SLOT1 performance goes...i sold an 866mhz P!!! SLOT1 cpu...ON EBAY...for over $100 less than 1 year ago.... all in all, i would say you are offering some nice parts, for some really good (read: reasonable) prices, and i wouldnt change them at all (excluding the cpu issue)... EDIT: just noticed its a socket 370, so yeh, the price of that cpu might be a little too high, hell, just let people make you an offer on it, with my endorsement, ill be damned if peiople pop in here trying to rip you off because of something i said... the fact that the cpu you have is a 133mhz FSB (Coppermine) part will make it even less desireable, because of its extremely limited overclockability (100mhz FSB cpus are better because you can almost for sure ramp them up to 133mhz fsb to match the memory speed (at stock even), not easily done with a cpu already running at a 133mhz fsb because ram was your almost exclusive limitation, and anything higher than 133mhz would most likely need some pc 166 RAM [yes, it exists]...which was not only rare, but expensive)...and BIOSes in those days didnt have a fraction of the overclocking conviniences that they do today, so if you were going to buy something, you made very sure it could do what it was meant to do, and those cpus (133mhz) were well known for -not- overclocking...whereas the 100mhz parts were... only offering this advice because it was asked for, i know the rules...

![]() | Okay here's the deal... Someone gave me an offer for the whole setup at AnandTech but he hasn't PM'd me in two days so it's not likely it'll go through. Just call dibs on the parts and they will be yours if the deal doesn't go through. Note: yes I take Paypal |
