    |  Looking for a cheap processor boost for a friend a friend of mine desparately needs a new processor. He has a Intel D845EBG2 motherboard: http://support.intel.com/support/mot...ktop/d845ebg2/ it supports the 400 and the 533 fsb socket 478 P4 chips. He's got a 1.5ghz in there right now, does anybody have something with a little more umph I can throw in there? I'd really appreciate the help trying to dig something up. We're pretty much going lowest price/best value, so if you have a chiplying around just post a price and I'll tell you if he can pay it. Thanks alot.

I know, that was for my roommate. He's loving it btw. Also, this friend of mine doesn't believe in overclocking (he considers it a waste of energy with neglible benifits and too much risk), so it doesn't matter if the chip won't OC for anything. I doubt the poor things ever going to see a fsb increase. John
