key board keys

does anyone know were i can get a set of keyboard keys just eh keys that are black with letters and symbols on them. i want to paint my key board but cream color keys just wont work and the other people who use the key board need the letters and symbols so i cant just paint over the keys. so i was wondering if i could just get some inexpensive keys some were. any one got any suggestions.

At some point in my life I started disassembling dead keyboards. I was fascinated with what made them work and dissection of dead ones - from heavy-duty original IBMs to current generics gave me insight.

I kept all the keys - I'm not sure why. They now fill up one of those file boxes.

I'll see if I have a black set. Am almost sure I do as my daughter destroyed a black "Lifetime" Keytronic by dumping cola-product into it.

Or would you prefer to buy - for a very reasonable $10 - a never used black Dell keyboard? Take the keys off, paint, replace the keys - saves some hassle!

yeah it would be easy just o get a black key board, i think i have one. i wasn't thinking of getting a new key board but that does sound easier. i'm going to look into this. anyway the keyboard i was thinking of has flat keys liek the ones on laptops.

Micro Center has a black keyboard for $4. Thats cheeper than I could mail you keys. Plus, the back end of keyboard keys are different - some are little plus signs, others minus signs.

PM me if you want me to hunt but buying sounds cheapest.
