Default I'm Starting to Get Pissed Off...

... at how any new member who posts something in the Trading Post thread gets slammed and ridiculed. That is bull and not what PimpRig is all about. We WANT people to join the forum, remember?

If a dude posts obvious spam like "Free Ferrari" or "Hot Chick For Sale" then I don't care if you make fun of them and their ancestory, but if a new member posts something legit for sale, leave him the **** alone!

If you feel it is outside the rules, notify a staff member. If you think it illegal, notify a staff member. We will make that judgment, not you. If you just don't like the item or the fact that a new person has posted an item for sale, LEAVE IT ALONE!

We have several mods and admins who surf all the threads every day and if someone is doing something wrong we will catch it. If someone is breaking the rules we greatly appreciate it if we get a heads up, but if you just don't trust the seller, walk away.

I will be instructing staff members to start using the rep system on members who harass legit seller's in the Trading Post. If you have a question about the product that is for sale, by all means post the question. But if all you want to post is "Dude, I can get that cheaper elsewhere" or "Get the hell out of here, n00b" you will get slammed via rep points. And not just one time, any staff member who see's the post will be instructed to hit you for rep.

Once more, this applies only to valid seller's. If it is an obvious spammer, I don't give a crap. If you aren't smart enough to tell the difference, don't view that forum anymore.

'nuff said.

Well, i am going to formally apologize to everyone i bashed in the trading post unless it was a spammer. Thanks BA for making me think about this one.....
EDIT: one more thing that i would like to acknowlege, if a spammer is clearly found and he is banned, let the thread die, its annoying to keep seeing that thread bumped again and again

And why do people tell people who are looking to buy something for references? Wouldn't they pay first?

I havent used the trading section, for sheer lack of Paypal account, but I 'll watch out none the less. Sounds to be quite a bit messy in there, I guess things will settle down in that topic area on the forum...like all "new" sections, it needs time to settle in, and everyone will eventually see what its meant for.

I've adjusted the Rules in the Trading Post to take care of any questions on flaming in that forum.
You really dont want to keep this crap going.
I'm topped out with the whole flame just to flame deal.

I agree with Duck on the situation, also with BA and anyone else that is gettin pissed off by all the amount of heat that traders are gettin, IMO if they don't like what is being sold....then don't go into the thread! thats why we can preview the thread first! its a pretty simple solution...

Do what i do, if your not at all interested in what they're selling, legit or not, dont even bother posting in the thread.

I for one really enjoy the trade section . Have found some very square deals in there and met some very rep. peeps. Yes i am a newb in here , But seeing people come into the trader forum and posting for sale this and that , who have made there account in pimp rig moments before. Does make it feel abit like im in ebay . >mike.... Just my humble opinion

Godfoot, didn't some wiseguy once say something like, "the simplest solution is often the hardest one to find?"

oh well, (ironically the two guys above me just did deals with me :p ) I personally like the PR trading section, I've felt alot better about selling here to folks I either know somewhat or have rep from people I know somewhat as opposed to the total strangers of ebay and the like.

I totally agree, I feel a lot safer with the forum I guess because I kinda have a feel for how the person is from reading there post etc in the forums. And with that I can, for the most part, guess how they would conduct themselve during a trade based upon how they acted through the forum.

Although there are countless troll encounters every day, people do not deserve to be treated as one soon as they join. Hopefully everyone that registers with PR, reads the rules, and understands them will be able to make a good decision whether to buy, or not to buy.

Keep your mouth shut and let it sink to the bottom if you don't like it.
