Please lemme know if this is against the rules. Well anything that u guys would give me or sell to me at a low price that is related to pc stuff, im interessted. Having a slow pc sucks. Also does anyone know why mine boots so damned slow? like the first time it doesnt detect the hd and the second time it does but takes along time

Your hard drive is likely failing. I would recommend backing up anything that you don't want to lose immediately. (I bet you're running an IBM, or a Maxtor or Quantum drive)

What's the specs of your current rig?

Pent 4 1.7Ghz i think a 200 psu, dunno bout the MoBo, 256RAM 200gb Western Digital HD, XP sp1

You should probably start with upgrading your RAM and PSU.

My other computer is a 600Mhz Pentium 3. It boots up in a jiffy. Look into a reformat and some tweaks.

This is kinda obvious but make sure your hard drive is set up to be the first boot device in your bios. Alot of times by default it will have your slow floppy drive or optical drive before the hard drive.

I think that it is a little low for you to go on asking for hand outs in here. You are a new member for one. And look at gorked's computer to yours.....your not that bad off. Why don't you get a job so you can afford better stuff? How do we know that you haven't spammed 100 other forums asking for free stuff?

I have got some stuff but for a newbie it ain't FREE...

EDIT::: Sorry spectrum...I guess I overlooked it and got a little trigger happy!! It is just that if you do a search on topics like these there were alot of newbies asking for had outs and never to return. I do apologize 2 both of you!
