No, it was black also. I stripped and polished it myself. It did have the chrome high-flow fittings though.

I just masked the bottom off and plugged the in/out with a tight wad of paper. The stripper works in about 3 seconds so there is no time for it to soak through the paper.

It only took around 10 minutes with a Dremel polishing wheel and some 3M rubbing compound
