![]() | RADEON 9700 PRO SE (bios has been modified to 283core/283memory compared to the 9700 non-pro 270/275) Specs: EXACTLY THE SAME as a RADEON 9700 Pro except for a bit lower clock speeds. (283/283 vs 325/312) Can be overclocked futher, burned in and guaranteed without artifacts at 283/283. US $160. The card has Arctic Silver grease between the copper orb heatsink and GPU. The card is verified in all tests to work with the soft9700 hacked drivers without artifacts. I will include the latest hacked Catalyst drivers with the card to enable all pipelines. It is a 9500 by default. Out of 5 RADEON 9500's I have bought and tried, THIS CARD is the only one that worked without any artifacts! I scored over 16,000 3dmarks with this card!!! Card comes with an S-Video cable. email me chuckman@gmx.net for an actual shipping quote. Click HERE to see my ebay feedback. I prefer paypal. Here are actual pics of the card: ![]() |

![]() | It is a 9500non pro with all 8pipes running, making it identical to an ATI Radeon 9700/pro. A 9500pro has a 128bit bus and a completely different PCB. This card has a 256bit PCB, the exact same one as a 9700pro in fact. (L-shaped memory) The bios has been flashed with slightly higher core/memory clock settings (283/283) and is overclockable on top of that. This way, it is completely reversable since the drivers enable/disable the extra 4 pipelines. The only difference in the hacked drivers is the ID code is changed to make the drivers think the card is supposed to use all 8 pipelines. A modified set of ATI's latest drivers are inclued--there is no performance penalty when using them. Just look at my 3Dmark score of 16580! The ID still shows it as a 9500 though. The multi-texture score verifies all 8 pipes are running, if you don't believe the score. Try to get that score with a 9600XT. |

![]() | Uhh there were some 9500 Pros with a 256 bit bus and L shaped memory arrangement. Pimprig even reviewed one!
You forgot to include that it isn't exactly the same as a 9700 Pro. You said it yourself that is a 9500 with a flashed bios 9500 + flashed bios does not = 9700 Pro Last edited by Gamma_Goblin; 13-April-04 at 02:53 AM.

![]() | Out of all the replies so far, Zennzzo's reply is by far the most intelligent one. That one picture did need to be resized very badly. UPDATE: Shipping is a flat $5 anywhere in the contiguous 48 states. And for those who have posted replies wondering what the heck it is: It is built by Sapphire Tech and is overclockable. 9500np running on hacked drivers to enable all pipelines--runs as a 9700/pro And for those who wondered why I say it has the same specs as a 9700pro except for a bit lower clock speed-----here ya go. It has the exact same specs as a 9700 non pro except for higher clock speeds. (running with the hacked drivers) Or should I say the 9700 non pro has the exact same specs as a 9700pro except the 9700 non pro has lower clock speeds. I do hope that clears things up for the easily confused. Oh and I forgot to mention the RADEON chip on this card is made by ATI and not NVidia. I knew some ppl would ask : ] Last edited by 3chansen; 13-April-04 at 12:58 PM. |

![]() Not a good way to get people to like you enough to buy your product, buddy. We're like a family here (I'd like to think that after 750 posts I'm at least an in-law), and insulting us isn't really the best way to get us to like you. Just a tip.

![]() | Just for the record, newegg is selling the Sapphire Radeon 9800SE, 325 core/580 memory, OEM, for $136 w/ free shipping. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-348&depa=0 I don't really know how this would compare to a hard-modded 9500 Pro, much less a hard-modded 9700 Pro, but this looks like a pretty darn good deal. What do you guy's think? |

Thats a good deal. It only has 4 pipelines with a 128bit memory bus, and a 9500pro (128bit memory bus) still beats it out. The 9500np I am selling (with 256bit bus) runs with all 8 pipelines and has performance between a 9700 non pro and 9700 pro. So I can't really sell it as either, and it is clocked faster than a 9500non pro, so I'll call it a 9700 Turbo. Now if you can get a 9800 SE with a 9800pro PCB, you can enable the other 4 pipelines. But if you enable the extra 4 pipelines on the 9800SE from NewEgg, you will still only have a 128bit bus. (and most likely artifacts or the checkerboard) Llike I said, out of the FIVE Radeon 9500non pros I bought with the 9700 PCB, the one I am selling is the only one that didn't have artifacts with all pipelines enabled--that's a 20% success rate.

| Bi P-Hoe-lar | Wow. 20% success rate. Imagine if airplanes had a 20% success rate, or if open heart surgery had a 20% success rate. Un-freaking-believable.

| H.A.L.O.-Hoe | Ok lets all stop crapping on the thread and let it die...Now we all know it is not a true 9700 pro and if it did have any type of warrenty it is void now...We all know you can get a 9500,9600 pro,9600xt,9700 pro and a 9800 pro for around 200.00 if no t less.. Just let the thread be and die.. If someone is interested let them IM the person otherwise let everyone make up thier own decision... If a person interested in pourchasing the item has any questions they can im the seller or post on the forums about the questions..

BiohazardPC couldn't have said it better. If you think it is too high, post an offer and I will consider. Or you can keep posting crap that needs to be deleted : ] For example, if you don't know what crap is, I will explain: "I'll give you $2 for it and.....blah blah blah " That is crap so please consider if the offer is reasonable. Thank you post veterans for showing logic and reason to those who need it : ]
