| There are a few old boards out there that are still in high demand, the P4C800 Deluxe is one of them, along with the DFI LP NF-2 Rev B, and Abit NF-7S Rev 2 for Athlon XP's. One might think you could find them dirt cheap on ebay or in the forums since they are almost to the point of being useless these days..but they still bring pretty decent coin for those that are in mint condition and have all the accessories and box it came in. Unfortunately alot of those boards ended up being blown up over the years, or being put in a family members web surfing rig and eventually thrown in the trash. I've been looking for the "Right" hardware to rebuild a high end Athlon XP rig over the years (Mostly another DFI LP) trying to find the right OC hardware is alot harder than you'd think it should be! I still have (And use) my XP Mobile 2500+@ 2.5GHZ with a Thermalrite SP-97 (One of the first heatpipe and probably best AMD XP air coolers) and a Shuttle AN-35N ultra packed with BH-5, but the ram modules are mix and match, but I'd love to get some Mushkin black PC3500 for it! (And maybe a X850XTX AGP, or something close to replace my X-800 Pro) and maybe a Mobile XP 2600+ since they OC'd just a hair better then my 2500+. I also have my first ever PC, a K6-2 500mhz rig (Still runs) that needs a rebuild with OC parts from the day, I had an old Asus P5B in it for a while, but it got lost somehow in a move...it also sports a legendary Voodoo 5500 vid card, and I have a pair of SLI Voodoo 2's for it ![]() I feel there will be a huge market one day for "Vintage" OC hardware, kinda like when baby boomers try and find old hot rod speed parts for Flatheads today, so don't just throw away all your boxes and sell of outdated OC hardware for pennies, put back in the box and shove it in the closet for 5-10 years...it may be worth more then you thought possible! I know if I had the coin, I would pick the best OC parts from a given year (Starting with a 486 to current) and build the "Best of the best" from both AMD and Intel, plus one each ATI and NVIDA and OC the shiz out of it just for fun! Good luck on finding one HTRN, they are out there, you just have to look under the cobwebs in someone's attic ![]() Last edited by $SOLID$ Necro; 24-May-08 at 05:06 PM. | ||
