| Bi P-Hoe-lar | Hey, just wondering if any of you have a non-stock heatsink that'd work well for an Athlon XP 2600+.... I'm using a stock one I borrowed from a friend, I'd like something with a little more power. If not, I'll just wait a couple months and one of those super quiet Zalmans. Oh, and the board is a Shuttle AN35N-Ultra. Any prices or such, let me know either here or on PM. John

Unless your case is a larger midtower or taller, you cannot fit the Zalman in as the PSU will interfere with the installation. That is the reason I went with the Swiftech MCX462V w/ 92mm fan and I love it. Just something to think about. |

| a.k.a., Frank Bullitt | I'm running a XP 2800+ oc'd @ 2228 and I recently installed a Thermaltake SILENT BOOST, my temps dropped from 63c (stock HSF) to 54c under load....running "Hot CPU" for 2 hrs. I should be able to drop my temps even more when I get a new case w/ more fans for better ventilation (that ATI 9800 Pro puts out alot of heat). http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...=BROWSE&depa=1

| Bi P-Hoe-lar | cool, guys, thanks for the help. I'm running a mid-tower right now, and once I have some words with the artist doing my side panels (she refuses to show me the work she's done) I'll probably have a nice black/purple modded case (think lightning) that should support a big 'un. if not, I might do what you say, godfoot, and I'll just take one of my casefans (vantec tornado) for the HSF and replace the intake with something a little quieter.

| a.k.a., Frank Bullitt | Yeah.....After I'm in my new place in GA next week.....I wanna try and put my Vantec Tornado on top that HSF and see what it does.....that thing flows 84.1cfm. Hopefully, it helps until I get my new case with some extra fans......
