Talking Monsignor Case Of The Week #10

Hasn't the MCOTW been fun? Well I've had fun anyway ...

We're slowly making our way through and I've come to an interesting lil fork in the road.

I have FIVE identical cases.
Well, they were identical when the came off the assembly line but now they each have gained a little different character all their own.

So rather than hear stuff like "I wish I knew about that one b4 I got this one"...

And to celebrate the TENTH MCOTW I have decided to basically offer them all at once.

Every day for the next five days I'll add the particulars about a case to this thread. That way you can see them all before you choose.

Each case will be designated by a letter [10A, 10B, 10C, ...] so we can tell them apart.

First Up - CASE 10A

+++ this is an AT case – not atx. +++

ItÂ’s a nice size - 18 in tall, 15.5 in deep, 6.75 in wide

3 external 5.25” bays, 3 external 3.5" bays and 2 internal 3.5" bays
2 parallel port connectors and 1 serial port connector

All 8 slot covers in back, but not necessarily the originals
All 6 bay covers, but not necessarily the originals
I managed pretty close matches on all of these tho'

Lock but NO KEY

MOBO: Asus P/I-P55TP4N
PROC: No proc, but if you can tell me what might match I might have one and will include
PSU: Kingspao 250W

WARNING: The case is SLIGHTLY bent. I could only screw in 5 of 6 in the rear. A lil percussive engineering may fix.

Price [as ALWAYS] $1 plus ACTUAL shipping and a $2 handling fee to cover boxes and peanuts

Monsignor takes PayPal & money orders. Earliest timestamp - with a ZIP CODE - on a PM to me - gets DIBS

It goes out to the trash: Mar 21 2004

Peanuts? What you eat while you're packing is up to you, but I don't see why prospective customers should be exepected to pay for them

hrm, I've always wondered, how hard would it be to convert one of these to ATX? I have a panel I can take off a case if I have to, but I was wondering how well some drilling would work.

Talking Weight

Case 10C is spoken for. It weighed 25.5 lbs at the USPS this morning so I'd expect the same for 10A and 10B. Now 10D and 10E have no PSU and no mobo and no-some-other-stuff so they should weigh LESS and therefore cost LESS to ship if dollars are a concern [when aren't dollars a concern Monsignor?]

Had to get a model release from elephant. His people are going over it.

Wink Elephant extraordianaire

The elephant has long been my familiar. A large land creature of incredible memory and horrific smell - sound like anyone we know

I picked up this guy at a After-Xmas-So-The-Booth-Is-Closing-Sale about 1984.

Note the pimphat. I wore this to various venues during the 1996 Olympics.

And y'all thought I was kidding when I said I had an elephant

Talking Well...

My wife has about 5 bookshelves full of science fiction .... the elephant just happens to be sitting above the H's

and he isn't taking a dump, he's resting. All that heavy lifting I mentioned before.
