Not sure how i missed this thread, but damn...i can see why yall flame the one post people that want to sell things here. But yeah that sucks...this is why i NEVER buy things over the net, local mom and pop shops all the way!

buying things off the net is fine, but there's a reason things like reseller ratings and ebay feedback exist. I don't buy from people or places I don't respect, and respect is earned, not given. Let that be a model for you.

i have been buying-selling-trading on the net for years and have only had maybe 1 problem in all that time! this now being the second.
i do go by ebay or forum feedback but sometimes people dont have any, so thats
why i get a name, address, phone #, etc...

but since it was an international postal money order i sent, im going to let the post
office deal with it first, if he is scamming me it will be mail fraud!

Hey,
I had a similiar experience with someone about 6 months ago. The guy took my money and ran. I called the police in his home town, however they never followed up on it. I then went here:

http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp

This is the FBI Internet Fraud Complaint Center. Fill out the form, takes about 5 minutes, and you will get results. I filled it out, and had my money from the guy 8 days later. Since he used the mail to steal your money, he has committed mail fraud, a FEDERAL FELONY. The FBI will get your complaint, then hand it over to the Postal Inspector, and they will track the guy down.

If you want you can email me and I will give you the whole story and further advice.

If nobody has done it by the time i get home from school, I'll trace the IP and give you his ISP contact information. Commiting felonies with the help of their service is not something many ISPs like.

OK well I contacted the TELUS inter net company, I sent them an email with all his info. I also called them, they said that they will investigate and for sure get back to us.

Hope we see some results.

It would probobly help if all 3 of us sent them an email, they would look into it more, hopefully.

i didnt have a chance to make any phone calls today but i did just now send a letter to his ISP so hopefully the more that complain the faster the ball will get rolling!
