Default WTB: Socket A CPU+

I'm looking to hobble together a computer from all of the parts I've got lying around and I'm pretty sure I've got a working NF7 amongst the wreckage. So I'm looking to put together a basic system to run Ubuntu and doing some other simple things. I'm thinking about building a custom case as well, so watch for a project log or something.

Anywho, all I've got in the Socket A department these days is my old Duron 900, which isn't exactly the fastest kid on the block these days, and so I'm looking for something a little quicker as I'm hoping to run Beryl. An XP or higher end Sempron would be nice, let me know what you guys have!

Also, if any of you have some older DDR that would be aplicable, let me know. I've a couple sticks of 266, but I might like a bit more.

Cheers,

FT

I have an Athlon XP 1700+ and 2400+ both in wonderful condition. New to these forums but am a regular trader at [H]. SHoot me a PM or an e-mail (chapmanbj1@gcc.edu) if you're interested and we can work something out.
