I just checked the team stats and I am the #7 producer. Normally this would make me happy. But I am turning in under 1k a day! This is bad. We need to step it up some. I got a new folder on my team (Thanks Chapper) but I am dissapointed in my ppd.

I will be on the hunt for borgs for a while. I have had the same borgs running for a while, and it just seems like the points just keep on dropping down. I was over 1K not long ago, and all the borgs are up. Looks like I need more.

Thanks for the offer. If you have anything that will beat a 2500 Barton or a 2600 Mobile, I am interested in upgrading one of my borgs.

As far as adding another borg at my house... no thanks! Heck, 2 Thermalright tornados running, plus the 2 borgs in the spare bedroom, jeez, the noise! I am all for the folding, but running 5 computers in a single wide trailer, well, I am doing my part!

I think I found some borgs, maybe I will get them.

Be glad to. A 'borg' is usually a computer you get folding for you that is at another location. It can also be a computer you own and have running that is not your main computer. I am trying to talk my boss into letting me fold on some computers at work. If he lets me, I will have more 'borgs'.

I think I was the first to use the word here, but I stole it from another site!

Thanks Fred. I get it now. Information I found via Google on other forums confused more than clarified the meaning for me.
I should have a Borg set up today if I can shake my do nothing mood as a result of our first snow yesterday. Maybe that will help us some.

I agree we really need to boost pimprig's production. I have 3 systems running as of now, and working on building a micro lan machine at the moment that will be a borg as soon as its done. Just waiting on my Barton 3000+ and RAM from Wordbiker! Which should be in my hands this Thursday.

Unfortunately, the only boxes I have are my primary dual core and a borrowed lappy which is folding as fast as it can. Until we get the house rewired, I can't bring my second box back online. However, if taxes are good enough to me this year, there's a brand new core 2 duo lappy in my future which will also become a dedicated folder.

Borgs are good. The more borgs, the better. Especially if they are working for #596.

Well, looks like I will have a new folder in the house here in the next month. I almost have the cash to get a new PSU and RAM to get my Lanparty board up, so then I will get a cheap 64 bit CPU and video card to go in my older ASRock board.

And it looks like I have found a new home for my slowest folder. I built it out of parts, cheap mobo, RAM and hd I had laying around. I built it to sell for a few bucks, but it never sold. I know a guy who was robbed a while back, and needs a computer. He is still a little leary about the folding, wants to make sure it is legal... Geez, I feel like I am trying to get folks in a multi level marketing scam.

If it works, he gets a 'new' computer for free, it still folds, and I free up room for another 64 bit folder.

Well im folding 5 cores. But the dual core even can't keep up with the new packets, they're longer and longer each time, and none of them get done quick. Before when i started folding with the 400 point WU that even my borgs were folding away in around a week, now it takes a near month for the old ones, and the dual core takes over a day to finish a WU, it use to be my only daily updater. For the sempron 2800+ it folds at 2800Mz and finishes one unit around every two days, and this XP goes around four day spans before finishing.

But at old standards most of my computers got a WU done in at longest twodays, the Dual core would have crunched them right and left. I want to see the 10 Teraflop PC sun is making fold that would be a monster.

LOL I didn't want to start a new thread to toot my own horn, so I remembered this one. I popped into the Top 20 producers today at number 17!!! WOOT. Come on guys! lets get this TeamPimpRig Train a movin!
