Reza, sorry to hear about your laptop. I had a feel of my RAID0 drives earlier on, very hot to the touch, temp probe reports 50c!! Its been about 27c here all week, much too hot for my liking

Great news on that X2, make sure you setup the two consoles in different folders on the HDD, and give each console its own machine ID.

When the console asks if you want to change advanced options, type yes and I think its the last question... just label them 1 and 2

*Small update*

Im back from Uni now, have been for a few weeks. Most of my borgs are no longer folding 24/7, which sucks as our 24 hour average has taken a drastic fall.

This is likely to continue until at least September when I know they'll be back up and folding pretty much 24/7.

So, heres the challenge, all you UK members who signed up recently or have previous not seen or ignored this thread, the Team 596 British Division needs your help!

To all current members, keep it up we're doing a great job, but we need more borgs!! STEP TO IT!

I'm working on a way to get it up and running on the uni computers but irst need to find a way to get into th shceduled tasks control applet, I have a few programs so maybe soon we'll have about 50 computers from bodington hall folding!

I'm in the middle of moving house right now so my machines are'nt doign so well... kinda zero out put at the moment!

Going to get them switched back on this evening hopefully though so they can fold away, and then as soon as we get the internet sorted... BANG! nice loada WUs for us

Reza, thats a very impressive borging challenge you have there, lets hope you can pull it off!

Im going to get an instance running on my Uncles machine when im next there, he has it on all day just so he can surf the net and print off crosswords, so it should be a good little folder. Not sure of the specs, I think its an Athlon XP 2800+...

well, i'm getting there slowely ( very lol!!)
im on 124/400 frames, its running at around 18mins/29secs per frame.

ive got it set at 100% in the settigs coz im only running a 999mhz athlon xp and want to get as much folding done as possible!!

task manager says cpu is at between 92/100%.......

my poor baby, she's getting all worn out!! lol

Massive 'thank you!' to all the new members and everyones borging efforts, it looks like our production is starting to level out again.

Most of my borgs were my flatmates machines, which at Uni were on pretty much 24/7. The British Folding Division was pumping out nearly 1000 every 24 hours!

Come September they'll all have their machines back on 24/7 so production will really shoot up again... in the mean time, lets see if we can't get that kinda production going ourselfs.

Borg your friends machines, your Mum or Dads machines, your office workstations, anything!!!

well, lets see...........
1. i'll be building new pc soon
2. i'm in middle of putting an old cyrix 70mhz machine together (so i'll have 4 machines inc my laptop!)
( i copied ur bigger intel heatsink/fan idea and it works well!! hehe )
3. when i re-enroll at college in august i will maybe attempt some covert ops!!!

4.talking family and friends around.....

p.s. one eeny weeny problem, i can only have one machine online at the mo ( budget allowing!! )
so is there any way of using my other computers to fold and then save the data onto my main pc to send online??

You could network your machines and enable ICS (internet connection sharing). A simple network wouldn't cost much...

Failing that, you could just periodically let each machine online to upload any finished WUs and download new ones... one problem with that though, you may end up missing deadlines and getting less points for your completed WUs. Id strongly recommend a network...
