I just started folding and whenever I open a game it minimizes. It has never done this before, it started right after I began folding. The weird thing is that for some games it doesnt minimize them(cs:s, Winning Eleven 9, Far Cry) Other games though it does minimize(BF2, FIFA 2006, Grand Theft Auto: SA) I figured out it was F@H because as soon as I exit it it stops minimizing my games.

So does anyone know why it does this?

I've noticed it. Haven't bothered with troubleshooting it yet. I just closed folding till I finished gameing.

might be just my case but when using the gui and trayit i justt shut of the tray it and it see to elimnate the problem

That 's what I do..........when you finish playing the game just turn it back on.

Unfortunately, I haven't run into this problem, thanks to some problem with either my cpu, mobo, ram, or vid card. (I really have narrowed it down, eh?). Everything benchmarks fine, but for some reason, sometimes when I try to play CS:S, it locks up on me. Of course, I ran this comp at 1.1GHz for years, before I found out about BIOS settings, and tried the "optimized" settings. Pushed my mobo up to 1.8GHz and said it was a 2500+ Barton (still haven't taken the hs off to verify this tho). This also put my ram up from DDR266 to DDR400, and ever since then, I've had problems with gaming. I kept trying and trying to figure out the problem, but finally gave up, and decided to build the new rig. So this old Socket A will be just a borg unit once the new comp is done, along with a DFI board and 3200+ (754) that I got a great deal on which will go into my new Centurion case coming soon thanks PCApex!

First you should check for overheating under load.

It's normal when OCing the athlon for bios to read it as the equivalent cpu to the clock it's running at.

So we dont highjack this thread, if you want to PM me I'll walk you through getting it stable.

I had this problem running the graphical client. Havn't encoutered it with the console version at all, so maybe give that a shot

Ok I will try that because I am using the graphical one right now.

In certain cases you can run F@H while gaming, as long as the game is set to the same resolution as your desktop. There are other games where this won't work though. It's normal for the game to minimize once, but not again after you bring the game back to full screen.

COD2 doesn't work with this trick but Halo and UT2004 seem to work with this trick.

I never have that problem when using the console version of F@H. Try switching over to that.

I agree, I used to get it running th graphical client and haven't had it once since I switched to the console version.
