Hello!

Guess what? We've got a new PCApex Folding@Home Icon reserved for those special members that have contributed so much to the F@H cause. If you want to take a look at it, you can see it HERE.

What are the requirements for this new badge?

As agreed upon by Glitterkill and myself, this badge will be awarded to the top ten work unit contributors of the PCApex F@H project. In addition, this award will also be handed out to those special Folders who have given so much of their time to the project. These people will be nominated by you, the forum members, and awarded subject to review of their contributions.

One has been given out today and that was to lokies_mom. I'll let her have the honor of having the badge for the first 24 hours and then I'll award some more badges tomorrow. If you like to submit someone for this award, simply reply to this thread and detail their accomplishments (i.e., has a Folding team, actively helped others install F@H, etc.).

Congrats Folders!!! Just our way of showing our appreciation of going above and beyond the call of duty.

Edit: What about all the "team" members? If a certain member here at PCApex has their own team going, and he/she gets a gold icon, that person wouldn't receive it without the help of everyone on their team..

Unless you are giving the award to people who helped out alot, despite their WU count..

The award will be given to the team leader since they put a lot of hard work into recruiting people for their team.

The award will also be given out to those members who help tremendously, regardless of their WU count. For example, if you are a member of one of the Folding teams, yet you are constantly helping out in this forum with new members who are asking questions about the application, installation, etc., and you are nominated by your peers, then you certainly could be eligible for the award.

Just checked out the new awards, looking pretty darn good too.

I would also like to nominate Tattoo. He has been contributing to the F@H campaigne like crazy, and is recruiting left and right. He deserves that gold F@H icon no doubt.

Tho I'm still new around these parts, I'd like to nominate a couple people for all the great help they gave me and others that I've seen. Without their advice and posts, I wouldn't be nearly as knowledgable.

Thanks to Rob and GK for getting my suggestion (go down to post 253) into practice. It's been something that was bothering me for a while now. Now, those who bend over backwards to give the cause a voice will get that little extra bling!

And Thanks for giving the award to lokies_mom first. There are a lot of people who give the F@H team here a voice, but hers was the voice that kept me folding when I first started. Every WU I fold now I do so in the hope that we'll find her a cure.

I agree with all the nominations so far, and back them all (And thanks for the nominations for me, too. You guys all rock!) but we are missing one - I nominate Tattoo for pulling in such a great number of folders in so little a time. It seems to me that Tattoo breathed new life into Team PimpRig/PCApex single handedly over the last week.

Thanks for the nominations guys. Means a lot to know all my efforts are appreciated, even if it's not the reason I work so hard to recruit. Folding for you guys has really helped me find my niche' here in the forums, and sped up my welcome I think. Now, instead of just being "that n00b that's always asking so many stupid questions", I like to think you see me now as "that n00b that's always asking so many stupid questions, but MAN, he works at recruiting for our team!"

I'm with T2. ESPECIALLY about nominating little old him. He has been one of the biggest advocates for F@H. I'm very pleased to see the hardest workers (both folding wise and advocate wise) will get special recognition . . . just a little more fuel to the folding fire. Gratz to everyone nominated! Your name wouldn't be here if your efforts were not greatly appreciated!

WOW, GEE, GOLLY. It's real pretty. I feel real special to be the first one with it. It's been with great pride that I watch the { KIDS } beat the he11 out of BA's and my team. Now lets see some more of that action.

Just been walking around my house and my chest was getting bigger. I'm Damn proud of the years I've been folding and thank you with all my heart that your with me on my quest. But if not for my son Lokie I would never have known about F@H or PR for that matter. He set me up and handed me the ball, I ran with it. What else could I do ?? So thanks kid !
