I'd like to get Superman folding at the same time as the lappy, But until I can afford a router can I get the desktop pc started then unplug the lan cable and plug it back into the lappy to continue surfing while the lappy is folding aswell?
I tried unplugging the cable modem to reset it and get the desktop going but it went to like step 97 on starting up getting a WU? I am currently folding with the lappy under Executioner as the name and 596 or whatever the team number is on both.
Does F&H need an active internet connection constantly?
I lost all my previous work with my hd reformat so I'm trying to get at least 1 WU completed again and get both these beast's folding.
If I install a thermostat on my chiller setup I can have Superman fold 24/7.

As an explanation I have a cable modem but no router or cables to interconnect the 2 pc's.
so I need to unplug and plug in the cat5 cable between the 2 and reset the modem each time.
(BTW this Acer laptop has enough balls to let me run F&H at 50% and play GTA Vice city at the same time!

I currently run 6 systems folding and only one is online 24/7.(dont want to buy 5 more antivirus firewalls)

For win folding,when a unit is done I just plug in the lan cable,wait for the lan to connect,and restart win folding.

For console version ,just set it to ask before connecting.
plug in the lan cable, wait a minute for the lan to connect ,and then click the connection dialog box.

finally double check the log file to make sure the unit has been sent and the new one has been recieved.

Thats a very generous deal! but no offense I'm planning on the next few weeks to order a wireless router cause my lappy has wireless. And I really like the idea of sitting on the throne putting my email crap where it belongs
