what is folding @ home?

ok what is folding and what dose it do and gimmy details!

dose it have to be on a good rig of can i slap it on like a 250mhz PIII?

Get yourself a bag of linen napkins and make them into kewl shapes like a duck by Folding them, then donate them to the Good-Will, they will resell em and give the profits to the needy.

J/K you will be breaking down the protein sequences of DNA so they can figure out cures for diseases and other research.

The human GNOME project identified all the types o DNA in humans, now we have to find out what each one does.

It's like knowing everyones name in the world, now we have to find out what adress and and phone number everyone has.

It will take a very long time on a 250MHZ computer, I don't recomend using it on anything under 1GHZ in general, but it won't hurt!

Just be prepared to wait a week or 2 to finish a work unit, they take a day or so on a normal modern PC, make sure you select "No Deadline" in the control panel, then they won't send you ones that are on time limits.

well i got folding on 2 comps now my 3.0ghz gamer and my 1.6ghz net serfer

what do u mean my cotrol panal

u got a messinging servics i got all of um aim, msn, yahoo
so we dont have to bog thread down?
