I'm sorry for being a lazy ass... I'm new on this site and stuff, but i was somewhat interested in this topic and the possibility of the download. Can someone give me a quick run down of what the deal is with it. How it actually works, and how it will actually help.

i got my rig goin on this, 2 WUs down, and i got a 400mhz celeron on part time, and another 2.4ghz P4 on part time- i need some AMD power, so i'm hooking up a 1800 soon, as well as a 900mhz duron and maybe a K6, and i'll probly get dry heat truckin away at this too- i may also be able to get 2 more pentium 4s a celeron and an athlon, we'll see what else i can scrounge up, and what friends i can persuade

maybe linux on the old ibook....

as of tommorow i should have, between me and friends:
1 x P4 2.4c
2 x P4 2.4b
1 x P4 2.0a
1 x PIII 900mhz
1 x P MMX 166
1 x Celeron 400mhz

and in the near future i should have a 1700 (oc'd of course) and a duron 900- i need some AMD in this lineup

Not bad. You should be moving up the stats pretty quickly.

yeah, one of the 2.4s is only part time though, its a shame my friend is too lazy to turn his computer on in the morning (his parents shut off the power in his room at 12) cause it doesnt get started till like 3, on 9 hours a day.....

I'm working on borging another couple of machines from friends, and then if I can get my teacher to keep all the machines turned on down at the school, that'd mean another 16 folding

you guys have a lot of machines!! i have 2 folding, a 1.2 ghz dual and a 1700 oced to 2.23

im movin up there, the highest ive been was 76th

well some people will hit walls, i mean alot of people are inactive- so people are jsut killing those people- but i mea once you get to top 50, thats when it will get rough- i don see me hitting top ten no matter how many comps i get for at least a few months- and with the comps i do have- probly many many months if at all

Time is your friend when it comes to folding stats.
i only have 2 cpu's folding and look where I am.

well with a further look at our team i have decided that i see nothing to really stop me form hittin 7th plce besides time- and even so- THIS IS SAD

we have about 400 active cpus and about 280 members- take off 100 for podium, 10 for the top 7- and thats only 230 cpus left- for 280 people- then when you look around, of those who even have active rigs, its between 1-4 rigs most of the time- that means about 180 people without cpus going anymore

dont look at my math hard, its probly wrong but seriously, i went through that list- 0 cpus- 0 cpus

CMON GUYS THIS IS DEPRESSING!!!!

yes we are top 40, yes we have a guy with 100 cpus, SO? this aint something you coast if you are doing well, because this isnt a contest!

i know that the active cpus are only in the past week, so older machines wont always show up- but stil-

dimazz, the only thing keeping you out of the top 20 is time, same for anyone-

hell, major players who i know have the juice are only putting out 0 a week- GET BACK IN THERE!

we could be tearing through the carts, i see a good 600-700 cpus if we all give an effort- thats 50% more research, remember that we are not doing this to win, but for humanity

can someone put team PR somewere so that all member know what it is, i know some poepel who dont know, and i jsut found out this week- perhaps a news sticky or something, or make the team sigs into links to F@H @ PR or something so that poeple KNOW-

i realized i can help one of those things, anyone with a PR sig-

change the text to this
be sure to add the slashes at the end

this way if someone is curious what team PR is (like me, but it took me a good long time to find out) they can click and find out

perhaps an auto PM to n00bs would be a good idea
