| Lokie's Personal WU-Hoe | Just whatever you do BA, do NOT OC your P4...that would give you even more of an advantage As for my CPU, it's a 2100 pretending to be a 2600 w/ 166FSB. It's in the basement so it is kind of cool, but when I moved it to the floor last night the temps dropped 2C so I just may OC it a little more now ![]() | |

| BA, I will be folding for you after I finish my current WU (it's at 92% right now)... My rig got me from (according to the stats) behind star882's position to 49th after 1 month of nonstop folding (and playing morrowind, aka my customized burn-in) Rig stats: 1700+XP Jiuhb core @ 2227 mhz Kingston 2100 DDR-ram @ 356 mhz MSI K7N2-L mobo | ||

| Welcome aboard slider I'm going to install F@H on the g/f's rig later today, and get it folding. Its a 1.4 Intel/Hewlett Crakard but it'll fold. My rig is just a XP1700 pal running a wimpy 1.65ghz for the moment. I havent really pushed it much yet though. BA I'm contemplating on what contemplating entails there bro...lol Doh...Had to edit, you guys slipped in while I was posting...lol...Cow, Bigfoot welcome aboard as well! | Welcome Bigfoot! Same goes out to you Cow! Jinx, just what it says; every person who joins the team will have an opportunity to "contemplate" that rig. I know I do every single day.It may take a couple of days to see the actual impact, but I think we are starting to get some serious horsepower going here. | ||

| Lokie's Personal WU-Hoe | With alot of people getting older rigs folding, I just may install it on the P2 350mhz family computer...which would be folding for lokie by the way Oh yeah, no one heard about what I upgraded from(and I know you all want to )...I went from a P2 350(actually 348 according to CPUID) Gateway with 192mb of ram(I added a 256mb stick but the mobo was too old to recognize the memory correctly so it only uses half, a common problem that is with older mobos), a 10gig HDD, and what sucked most of all is I have 2 siblings and 2 parents that used it frequently so it was the good ole take turns scenario and 1 hour limits My parents bought it new in '98 with a HP fax/scanner/copier which totaled almost $2k...and now it's worth what, $200? So, I learned a bunch about computers and eventually built what I have now and am paying for it with my own money(unlike some fruits I know on here). I basically multiplied the performance times 5, actually even more than that after I OC'ed.I also just "took my rig down for maintenance" and I was going to put my thermal probe on my CPU, but all I ended up doing was reapplying AS3 since the cord wasn't long enough for comfort. Plus the area between the heatsink and CPU was just a bit too thin for the thermal probe to go against the CPU core anyways. | |

| lol i fired up that P2 233mhz machine last night and after clearing 576 spyware hits off it (like i said NOT my computer ) and doing some random maintence it runs ok but didnt seem to want to fold, (this could be because it doesnt even have windows 98 ) going to mess with it tonight and will set it in the corner so it can pretend its helping ![]() | ||
